Variable jet pump
A bleed system including control circuitry and a variable jet pump. The control circuitry is configured to receive a signal indicative of a fluid parameter in the bleed system and cause the jet pump to alter a mixing ratio of a higher pressure gas and a lower pressure gas based on the signal. The jet pump is configured to combine the lower pressure gas and the higher pressure gas in the mixing ratio to generate a mixed gas. The jet pump is configured to supply the mixed gas to one or more gas loads in the bleed system. In examples, the control circuitry is configured to establish a system setpoint for the fluid parameter based on an operating status of the one or more gas loads.
Variable jet pump
A bleed system including control circuitry and a variable jet pump. The control circuitry is configured to receive a signal indicative of a fluid parameter in the bleed system and cause the jet pump to alter a mixing ratio of a higher pressure gas and a lower pressure gas based on the signal. The jet pump is configured to combine the lower pressure gas and the higher pressure gas in the mixing ratio to generate a mixed gas. The jet pump is configured to supply the mixed gas to one or more gas loads in the bleed system. In examples, the control circuitry is configured to establish a system setpoint for the fluid parameter based on an operating status of the one or more gas loads.
Hybrid gas turbine engine with bleed system improvements
An architecture for powering systems on an aircraft has a gas turbine engine including a main compressor, a combustor, and a turbine. The turbine powers the main compressor, and further powers a propulsor. The turbine is operably connected to drive a generator. The generator is connected to store generated power at a battery. The battery is connected to provide power to a motor from the propulsor such that the propulsor can be selectively driven by both the motor and the turbine. A bleed air control system and a tap for selectively tapping compressed air from the main compressor, and a control valve for delivering at least one of the tapped compressed air or a compressed alternative air to bleed systems on an associated aircraft. An electric bleed compressor selectively compresses the compressed alternative air. The electric bleed compressor is powered by the battery. A control for controlling the control valve to selectively deliver at least one of the tapped compressed air and the compressed alternative air to the bleed systems. An aircraft is also disclosed.
NACELLE AIR INTAKE PROVIDED WITH A MIXED ICE PROTECTION SYSTEM
An optimized protection against ice on the inner and outer faces of an aircraft engine nacelle air intake with the air intake including an outer face and an inner face meeting at a line at the longitudinally extreme, called extremum line, an acoustic panel being installed on the inner surface of a part of the inner face. An elimination system based on vibration of the ice formed is put in place on at least a part of the outer face and an ice formation prevention system using a hot fluid is put in place on at least a part of the inner face and either an ice elimination system or an ice formation prevention system using a hot fluid is installed on the inner face and on the outer face, a marking line marking the boundary between the two systems.
Integrated heat management for hybrid propulsion
There is provided a heat management system for a hybrid electrical aircraft comprising electric propulsors powered by a power plant. The heat management system comprises a heat exchanger integrated to a nacelle of at least one of the electric propulsors for dissipating heat withdrawn from the power components of the power plant into ambient air.

The relationship r1 is a relationship between an altitude and a pressure upper limit of the bleed air. The relationship r2 is a relationship between the pressure upper limit and outside air temperature at which the temperature of the bleed air reaches allowable temperature of ducts and other members through which the bleed air flows. The relationship r2 is provided based on the altitude.
