The present invention includes an emergency egress system of a vehicle, including: a rope compartment, wherein the rope compartment is located on or near a vertical plane along a longitudinal axis of the vehicle, within reach of one or more occupant seats; a rope, wherein at least a portion of the rope is stored within the rope compartment and is securely tethered to a portion of a structure of the vehicle; and a rope compartment cover to secure the rope in the rope compartment.

Aircraft pilot seat

A pilot's seat offering an evacuation device. The seat comprises a ladder fixed to the rear of the back and covered by a detachable cover associated with the seat and deployable between a storage position retracted inside the cover and a deployed evacuation position, in which case the cover is detached. Thus, the evacuation device is incorporated harmoniously into the seat which offers a solid base for the evacuation ladder.

An emergency actuation device for opening a door, the emergency actuation device includes: at least one pressurised gas supply; an actuator including: an actuator chamber, an actuator piston moveable between a retracted position and a fully extended position to open the door, a vent for venting the actuator chamber when the actuator piston is in its extended position. The emergency actuation device further includes a percussion device including a percussion piston moveable on activation of the percussion device between: a storage position in which the pressurised gas supply is isolated from the actuator and an activated position in which the pressurised gas supply is coupled to the actuator. The actuator is coupled to the percussion device; and the actuator is configured such that movement of the actuator piston towards its activated position resets the percussion piston.

A vehicle with at least one emergency exit system, the at least one emergency exit system comprising a jettisonable component that is accommodated and locked in an associated frame structure of the vehicle in normal operation mode and releasable from the associated frame structure for being jettisoned from the vehicle in an emergency mode; and further comprising an emergency evacuation assistance device that is adapted to assist in an emergency evacuation of the vehicle via the associated frame structure in the emergency mode; wherein the emergency evacuation assistance device is attached to the jettisonable component such that the emergency evacuation assistance device is deployed by means of the jettisonable component when the jettisonable component is jettisoned from the vehicle in the emergency mode.

A vehicle with at least one emergency exit system, the at least one emergency exit system comprising a jettisonable component that is accommodated and locked in an associated frame structure of the vehicle in normal operation mode and releasable from the associated frame structure for being jettisoned from the vehicle in an emergency mode; and further comprising an emergency evacuation assistance device that is adapted to assist in an emergency evacuation of the vehicle via the associated frame structure in the emergency mode; wherein the emergency evacuation assistance device is attached to the jettisonable component such that the emergency evacuation assistance device is deployed by means of the jettisonable component when the jettisonable component is jettisoned from the vehicle in the emergency mode.

The body of the ball lock may also define a central chamber and an access slot open to the central chamber. The ball lock may include a spindle disposed within the central chamber of the body. The spindle may be in either a locked position or an unlocked position. The ball lock may further include an indicator coupled to the spindle and viewable to a user via the access slot, wherein the indicator is configured to indicate to the user whether the spindle is in the locked position or the unlocked position.
