Apparatuses, methods, and computer programs for a microscope system for obtaining image data with two fields of view

Examples relate to apparatuses, methods and computer programs for a microscope system, more specifically, but not exclusively, to the use of two optical imaging modules to obtain image data having a first and a second field of view. The apparatus comprises an interface. The interface is suitable for obtaining first image data of a sample from a first optical imaging module. The first image data has a first field of view. The interface is suitable for obtaining second image data of the sample from a second optical imaging module. The second image data has a second field of view. The first field of view comprises the second field of view. The apparatus comprises a processing module. The processing module is configured to generate an image output signal for a display of the microscope system. In some embodiments, the processing module is configured to process the first image data to detect an abnormality outside the second field of view. In this case, information on the abnormality is overlaid over the second image data within the image output signal. Additionally or alternatively, an overview of the first image data is overlaid over the second image data within the image output signal. The processing module is configured to provide the image output signal to the display.

An imaging probe comprises a camera or endoscope with an external detector array, in which the probe is sized and shaped for surgical placement in an eye to image the eye from an interior of the eye during treatment. The imaging probe and a treatment probe can be coupled together with a fastener or contained within a housing. The imaging probe and the treatment probe can be sized and shaped to enter the eye through an incision in the cornea and image one or more of the ciliary body band or the scleral spur. The treatment probe may comprise a treatment optical fiber or a surgical placement device to deliver an implant. A processor coupled to the detector can be configured with instructions to identify a location of one or more of the ciliary body band, the scleral spur, Schwalbe's line, or Schlemm's canal from the image.

PREFERRED ANTERIOR CAPSULOTOMY LOCATION PROVIDED BY TRYPAN BLUE OPTHALMIC SOLUTION

A system, method, and apparatus for guiding an astigmatism correction procedure on an eye of a patient are disclosed. An example apparatus include a photosensor configured to record a pre-operative still image of an ocular target surgical site of the patient. The apparatus also includes a real-time, multidimensional visualization module configured to produce a real-time multidimensional visualization of the ocular target surgical site during an astigmatism correction procedure. The apparatus further includes a data processor configured to determine a virtual indicium that includes data for guiding the astigmatism correction procedure. The data processor uses the pre-operative still image to align the virtual indicium with the multidimensional visualization such that the virtual indicium is rotationally accurate. The data processor then displays the multidimensional visualization of the ocular target surgical site in conjunction with the virtual indicium.

Robotic surgical inventory management

A supply tray for a surgical procedure is selected based on the surgical procedure and patient data retrieved from an electronic health records database. Multiple steps of the surgical procedure are retrieved from the electronic health records database. A message is sent to a first manipulator to move a supply from the supply tray to a staging area for performing a step. A first indication is received from a first sensor that the supply is needed at a present time. A position where the supply is needed in an operating area proximate to the staging area is determined using a second sensor. A second message is sent to a second manipulator to move the supply from the staging area to the position. A second indication is received from a third sensor that the step is complete. A third message is sent to a third manipulator to remove the supply.
