An aircraft operational state monitoring system is provided that includes a module for acquiring a logic state of a plurality of components of the aircraft, the components belonging to airplane systems. The aircraft operational state monitoring system includes a module for determining the operability status of a plurality of macroscopic functions of the aircraft, each macroscopic function being defined independently of the components and airplane systems necessary for the performance of the macroscopic function, the operability status being determined based on logic states of the plurality of components between an operational status and at least one nonoperational status. The aircraft operational state monitoring system includes a display and at least one graphic display management assembly on the display, configured for displaying, on the display, summary indicators of the operability status of the macroscopic functions of the aircraft.

One exemplary method comprises receiving data indicative of an existence of the relevant condition associated with the aircraft; receiving data indicative of a substantially real-time value of a dynamic parameter associated with the relevant condition; and displaying an awareness-enhancing indication associated with the relevant condition in a display area of the crew alerting system of the aircraft. The awareness-enhancing indication comprises a textual message and a supplemental indication indicative of the substantially real-time value of the dynamic parameter associated with the relevant condition. In various embodiments, the supplemental indication may be textual or graphical. The supplemental indication may also be indicative of a target value of the dynamic parameter.

The system includes a translucent display positioned such that a first face is a display face and that a second face is a projection face and at least one projector configured to project an image on the second face of the translucent display. The image is displayed on the first face. The system also includes at least one sensor configured to transmit a signal when triggered and a projector controller in communication with the at least one projector and the at least one sensor. The projector controller is programmed to receive a signal from the at least one sensor and instruct the at least one projector to project at least one image on the translucent display in response to the signal from the at least one sensor.

A photoluminescent aircraft floor path marking system includes at least a flexible track having a housing incorporating a flexible, pliable, photoluminescent portion in which the track is bendable to a radius of 1 m or less and the track has a length of at least 2 m, where the track is pliable such that it can retain a rolled or bent radius. The track may be bendable to a radius of from 0.01 m to 1.0 m or optionally from 0.01 m to 0.5 m. The flexible track may be provided in lengths of from 3 m or greater or greater than 10 m. A flexible protective layer may be provided. The flexible housing may include a holder for the photoluminescent material.

An exemplary method includes configuring an onboard computer to execute a script, wherein the script controls an order by which passengers on an airplane are prompted for deplaning, updating the script for a travel segment of the airplane using a first input comprising a passenger information for the travel segment or a second input comprising a travel configuration of the airplane during the travel segment or a third input from onboard crew of the airplane; and controlling onboard electronic equipment of the airplane by executing the script at an end of the travel segment by prompting passengers to deplane the airplane in the order.
