The light distribution unit (12) is disposed on a light emitting side of the LED module (11). The light transmissive cover (16) is disposed over the opening of the casing (14). The conductive film heater (13) is disposed on a surface of the light transmissive cover (16) on an inner side of the casing (14).
Taxi strike alert system
A system includes a first smart sensor, a second smart sensor, and at least one image processor. The first smart sensor is configured to sense light in a forward direction and to capture an image during a first time period. The second sensor is configured to sense light in the forward direction and to capture a second image during the first time period. The at least one image processor is configured to identify at least one object in the first and second image, to determine a first size of the at least one object in the first image and a second size of the at least one object in the second image, and to determine a distance of the at least one object from the aircraft based upon the first size and the second size.
METHOD FOR AUTOMATED DOCKING A PASSENGER BOARDING BRIDGE TO AN AIRCRAFT
A method for the automated docking of a passenger boarding bridge to an aircraft parked in a stand includes, determining a target position with respect to a door of the aircraft, to which target position a bridgehead of the passenger boarding bridge is to be moved, and moving the bridgehead to dock with the door of the aircraft based on the determined target position.
Method and a system for guiding a pilot of an approaching aircraft to a stop position at a stand
The disclosure relates to a method for guiding a pilot of an approaching aircraft to a stop position at a stand, said method being characterized by: monitoring a position of the approaching aircraft within a volume at the stand, comparing said monitored position with a first area, said first area enclosing the stop position, comparing said monitored position with a subsection of the first area enclosing the stop position, if said monitored position is inside said subsection: transmitting information to a display to show an indication to the pilot to proceed approaching the stand, and if said monitored position is inside the first area but not inside said subsection: transmitting information to the display to show an indication to the pilot to stop the aircraft. The disclosure further relates to an aircraft docking system.
Airport parking system for electric taxi driven aircraft
A system is provided that guides aircraft driven with landing gear wheel-mounted electric taxi drive systems without reliance on airport ground personnel to park the aircraft parallel to an airport terminal with connections to multiple passenger loading bridges, automatically docks the aircraft, and connects the multiple loading bridges to multiple forward and rear doors. Cooperative on-aircraft monitoring systems, airport docking systems, loading bridge and terminal monitoring systems, and processors are integrated to use real time information and guide the aircraft to safely maneuver into and automatically dock in a parallel orientation at a parking location with multiple aircraft forward and rear doors connected to multiple loading bridges. The system may automatically undock the aircraft and retract the loading bridges and guide the electric taxi drive system-driven aircraft out of the parking location without reliance on airport ground personnel.
SYSTEM FOR AIR AND GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Disclosed is a system for horizontal marking of air and ground transportation. The system comprises at least one sheet of a pliant mesh material that is preferably at least 30% open when in use and preferably has a ground footprint weight of at least 0.4 kg/m.sup.2. The marking system is adapted to be disposed on an horizontal surface in a generally horizontal fashion, so as to provide a sign for conveying information to air and/or ground traffic. Also disclosed is a method of directing air or ground traffic using such a horizontal marking system.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING THE STATE OF A RUNWAY ON WHICH AN AIRCRAFT IS ABLE TO TAXI
A system including at least one image acquisition module to acquire images of the environment of the aircraft and of the runway, a module to recognize in the images at least one element representative of at least one contaminant likely to influence the state of the runway, a module to determine at least one property of the contaminant or contaminants and a module to transmit to a user device the property or properties of the contaminant or contaminants. The system allows contaminants to be identified and to be located on the runway or in the environment of the aircraft.
AIRCRAFT TOW POINT
An aircraft is presented. The aircraft comprises a tow point positioned on a body of the aircraft and forward of main landing gear of the aircraft, wherein the tow point is connected to an airframe of the aircraft to accept and distribute forces forward, aft, and normal to the aircraft.
ENHANCING CONTRAST OF LED LIGHTING
A light-transmitting subsystem can include an LED light source including a first to LED light to emit a first wavelength of light with a first center-emission wavelength and a second LED light to emit a second wavelength of light with a second center-emission wavelength that is offset from the first center-emission wavelength. The system can include a first reference oscillator to receive a reference signal from a remote or broadcasting source, and can also include a synchronous modulation and power system to convert the reference signal from a synchronous relative high frequency signal to a synchronous relative low frequency signal and provide synchronized power pulses to the first LED light and the second LED light in synchronous correlation with the synchronous relative low frequency signal to generate a stream of modulated light-signal pulses which includes a first modulated wavelength of light and a second modulated wavelength of light.
Flashing lamp and method for adjusting flashing of flashing lamp
A flashing lamp includes: an LED module and a light distribution unit disposed inside a housing, the light distribution unit is disposed on a light emission side of the LED module, and a light transmissive cover is disposed over an opening of the housing. The LED module includes: a plurality of LED rows; and an adjusting unit that adjusts flashing of the plurality of LED rows on a row-by-row basis. The plurality of LED rows are mounted on one surface of an LED-mounting board, each of the plurality of LED rows has a plurality of LEDs electrically connected on a row-by-row basis. When at least one LED row fails to illuminate, the adjusting unit extends a flashing time of each LED of the remaining LED rows to maintain a luminous intensity of the entire plurality of LED rows within a predetermined range.
