Systems and methods associated with electrical systems of aircraft are disclosed. A method disclosed herein comprises generating electricity using an electric generator operatively coupled to an engine of the aircraft, supplying the electricity generated using the electric generator to a baseline power bus; generating electricity using an electric starter generator operatively coupled to the engine; and supplying the electricity generated using the electric starter generator to a supplemental power bus independent from the baseline power bus.

DEVICE FOR PROTECTIING THE CONNECTION BETWEEN A DETACHABLE WIRED DRONE AND THE WIRE THEREOF
The invention relates to a protection device for protecting the connection between a detachable wired drone (1) and the wire (5) thereof. This device enables the plug (3) to be reused even when it has fallen many times from a great height and limits the risk of injury and electrocution of people. The device consists of a non-conductive envelope surrounding the electrical contacts of the plug (3), a procedure or a mechanical system that cuts off the power when the plug (3) is detached from the drone (1), a system for mechanical protection against impacts, which can be an energy-dissipating envelope, a parachute-like system (4) for slowing down the fall, or the separation of the plug into a plurality of parts connected by a flexible element. The device according to the invention is particularly applicable to wired drones (1) in order to speed up movement outside the perimeter defined by the wire (5).

A high-place observation device for stably performing a fixed-point observation of a target object from a high place is provided. The high-place observation device provides a long pole which is formed to extend and contract freely and which stands on the installation surface, a rotorcraft for positioning the pole to a desirable height position by extending and contracting the pole by a floating force in a connected state, a winding mechanism which fixes and maintains the height position of the pole to the height position set by the rotorcraft, and a camera attached to the rotorcraft.

A mass transportation system provides an airborne passenger vehicle tethered to a host vehicle. The host vehicle traverses along a fixed route. The airborne passenger vehicle moves between a stowed position fixedly secured to the host vehicle and a deployed position in which the airborne passenger vehicle is flying above the host vehicle.

The disclosure concerns a drone trailer system. The drone trailer system includes a rear door hingedly coupled to a distal end of a trailer. A first track system is disposed on the trailer at a floor thereof. A second track system is disposed on the rear door at an inner surface thereof. A movable platform is slidably engaged with the first track system, the second track system, or both. A drone is configured to sit on top of the moveable platform to allow for fast deployment.

In one embodiment the disclosure provides a portable and mountable apparatus and method capable of powering and deploying an illuminable tether to an unmanned robotic device (flying drone, ROV, terrestrial robot, to be referred to as a “URD”) that not only can provide power and command control to the robotic device, but also receive telemetry back from said robotic device's sensor(s) and data gathering instrumentation transferable to an operator's interface.

An exemplary unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) mountable to a conductor of an aerial power transmission line system includes a body having a rotor system, a motivation system attached to the body to motivate the UAV along the conductor, a battery carried by the body and electrically connected to at least one of the rotor system and the motivation system, a monitoring tool mounted with the body and an inductive coil carried by the body and in electric connection with the battery, wherein the inductive coil is configured to harvest electricity from the aerial power transmission line system and charge the battery.
