In an example, a protective assembly for visually indicating ultraviolet (UV) sanitization of an area is described. The protective assembly comprises a retrofitted protective bumper attachable to one or more surfaces in the area such that the retrofitted protective bumper covers at least a portion of the one or more surfaces. The retrofitted protective bumper comprises a photochromic plastic material that, when exposed to UV light, changes from a first color to a second color that is different from the first color and that is visible under ambient lighting conditions.

METHODS OF CLEANING A COMPONENT WITHIN A TURBINE ENGINE

A method of cleaning a component within a turbine that includes disassembling the turbine engine to provide a flow path to an interior passageway of the component from an access point. The component has coked hydrocarbons formed thereon. The method further includes discharging a flow of cleaning solution towards the interior passageway from the access point, wherein the cleaning solution is configured to remove the coked hydrocarbons from the component.

AIRCRAFT DISINFECTING DEVICE

The present invention provides a fixture or device which is particularly adapted for installation within the interior of a general aviation aircraft, such as a small private jet, prop-driven plane, helicopter, spacecraft, or other aviation vehicle. A plurality of UV-C lamps, typically LEDs are disposed within the fixture and project the radiance therefrom into the cabin, as well as control electronics to ensure safe emission limits by the LED. A temperature sensor minimizes LED burnout.

THERMAL DISINFECTING TOOL

A thermal disinfecting tool for disinfecting surfaces bounding or located within a fixed volume of air is disclosed and includes a housing and a heater. The housing defines one or more inlets and one or more outlets. Air is drawn from the fixed volume of air through the one or more inlets and exits the housing through the one or more outlets. The heater is disposed within the housing downstream of the one or more inlets and upstream of the one or more outlets. The thermal disinfecting tool also includes one or more processors in electronic communication with the heater and a memory coupled to the one or more processors, where the memory stores a time to inactivation plot for a specific pathogen that indicates a deactivation time for the specific pathogen over a range of temperatures.
