Electrosurgical instrument for cutting tissue
An electrode assembly for use with an electrosurgical instrument includes a base portion, a return lead adapted to be electrically coupled to a return terminal of an electrosurgical generator, an electrical insulator supported on a distal portion of the return lead, a tensioning mechanism, and an active lead adapted to be electrically coupled to an active terminal of the electrosurgical generator. The tensioning mechanism includes a slider slidably disposed in the base portion, a rotation rod threadably coupled to the slider, and a spring proximally biasing the slider. The active lead having a first end portion securely fixed to the base portion and a second end portion slidably coupled to the rotation rod of the tensioning mechanism. A portion of the active lead extends around the electrical insulator. Rotation of the rotation rod causes axial displacement of the second end portion of the active lead to tension the active lead about the electrical insulator.
Method and arrangement for cleaning of a canal
The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for the cleaning of a circumferentially closed canal by means of a light guide conducting a laser beam, wherein the entry of the laser beam into the light guide is interrupted when the free end of the light guide is outside of the canal and/or the movement of the light guide within the canal is monitored and if there is no movement or the movement is below a first threshold value then a signal is triggered and/or the laser radiation is turned off or its output is reduced, and wherein the turning off of the laser radiation or its reducing is controlled in dependency of at least one signal change and/or a second threshold and/or a signal change relative to the second threshold determined during at least one course of time starting before and including the entry of the light guide into the canal.

UNLOCKING APPARATUS AND STRAINER BASKET
An unlocking apparatus for unlocking locking devices of at least two medical ring instruments, and a sieve basket. The locking devices include cooperating locking elements, and the unlocking apparatus includes a first receiving body with at least two ring receptacles for accommodating first rings of the at least two ring instruments. The unlocking apparatus includes an unlocking body with at least two unlocking elements cooperating with second rings of the at least two ring instruments. The unlocking body and the receiving body are movable relative to one another in an actuating direction such that the at least two unlocking elements engage on and move the second rings relative to the first rings in an unlocking direction that is transverse, in particular perpendicular, to a first ring plane and to a second ring plane for transferring the locking devices from a locked position into an unlocked position.
MEDICAL SUPPORT ROBOT AND MEDICAL ROBOT SYSTEM
A medical support robot includes: a storage that houses a medical instrument; at least one robotic arm including a tip including an end effector that handles the medical instrument; a traveling structure that supports the storage and the at least one robotic arm and travels; and circuitry that performs control that may comprising causing the traveling structure to move to a medical robot that is a robot that performs medical practice.

SUSPENSION CLEANING
A method of cleaning a contaminated surface, such as cleaning the elongate interior lumen of an endoscope contaminated with flesh, bone, blood, mucous, faeces or biofilm, said method comprising the steps of: providing a suspension of solid particles in a liquid to said contaminated surface, and flowing said suspension along said surface thereby to remove contaminant from the surface. The suspension is preferably a paste, where the solid material may be e.g. crystals of a salt, silicon oxide or organic material. The paste preferably has a solid fraction between 5 and 55%. A rheology modifier may be present.
Sterilisation of Endoscopes
A flexible elongate atmospheric plasma generator for generating a transverse atmospheric plasma within configured for insertion into an internal channel of an elongate endoscope tube, the plasma generator including an elongate body of dielectric material, an elongate first electrode centrally located within the body of dielectric material and an elongate second electrode around an elongate external surface of the body of dielectric material, the second electrode having a plurality of electrically conductive elements forming a mesh defining holes in the second electrode, wherein application of a potential difference across the first and second electrodes can generate a plasma within atmospheric air surrounding the atmospheric plasma generator.
SMART OIL SPRAY ADAPTER
Provided is an adapter for connection to a spray can dispensing an oil-containing aerosol. The adapter comprises a timepiece configured to measure a predetermined time interval, the starting point of the time measurement being defined by the start of a spraying process of the spray can; and an indicating element configured to indicate to the user, once the predetermined time interval has expired, to end the spraying process. Also provided is a method for manually reprocessing a medical device.
