DRONE CLOUD CONNECTIVITY FOR ASSET AND FACILITY OPERATIONS
20230092319 · 2023-03-23 ·

Aspects of the current subject matter relate to enhanced operation services provided by an unmanned vehicle with cloud-based connectivity for real-time exchange of data and command/control operations. Data collected during a mission for an operation service, such as a particular inspection activity, is transmitted in real-time to a server for analysis to provide real-time or near real-time feedback in the form of command and/or control signals to the unmanned vehicle to improve the operation service while it is being carried out. The collected data is also used for simulations and to create historical content for future operation services.

The present invention relates to an armed unmanned aerial vehicle (“UAV”), an armed UAV control system, and methods of use thereof. In one form, the armed UAV includes: an elongate body, a pair opposed side rotor arm assemblies extending from the sides of the body, a tail rotor arm assembly extending from a rear end of the body, a weapons system including at least one firearm associated with the body, and a flight and targeting controller operatively associated with the side rotor arm assemblies and the tail rotor arm assembly. The controller configured to: determine at least a pitch angle and yaw angle required to strike a target with the weapons system, based on target information received; and selectively control operation of each rotor arm assembly for aiming the weapons system, based on at least the pitch angle and the yaw angle determined.

AERIALLY DISTRIBUTABLE COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE

The present invention relates to an aerially distributable communications device (ACCD) including one or more gyrochutes and communications module configured for wireless communication with external communication nodes. The communications module can be configured for mesh network type communication with similar aerially distributable communications device, or as a gateway type communications device to a wide area network such as a satellite network. The ACCD is for deployment in remote areas and/or areas where normal communications networks are down, such as disaster areas. The ACCD can be deployed from an aircraft or a spacecraft. The ACCD can further be configured with emergency equipment such as water purification equipment, power charging equipment, or the like.

Environmental Monitoring System

An environmental monitoring network has transportable, self-contained, environment sensing capsules, each capsule is water-proof, with first and second sections, the second section being hollow. Apertures in the capsule's housing enable fluid and gas entry wherein first sensor(s) disposed internal to the housing measure within the hollow, and second sensor(s) disposed external to the housing measure external to the housing. A controller and power system are connected to the first and second sensors and transmits measured data. An access entry way is on a side of the housing, enabling access to first sensors, controller system, power system, and the communication system. A central data server is configured to receive and analyze the measurement data sent from the capsules. There is a priority list of appropriate personnel for contact by the central data server in an event there is an emergency condition at a capsule location.

A sensor system for a vehicle includes sensors that can be extended further away from the vehicle in order to obtain additional information. The sensors can be kept in their stowed position, to obtain the minimum amount of information but to maintain maximum of the looks of the vehicle. The sensors can then be extended to obtain additional information about the vehicles.

A METHOD OF AND AN UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE FOR ACTING UPON A RESTRICTION IN SERVICES FOR THE UAV, A UAV CONTROL SERVER AND A BASE STATION

A method of acting upon a restriction in services for an unmanned aerial vehicle, UAV, wherein the UAV is connected to a telecommunication network and wherein the UAV is allowed to utilize one or more services within the telecommunication network, the method comprising the steps of receiving, by the UAV, from a base station in the telecommunication network, access information for being served by the base station, determining, by the UAV, from the access information that at least one service of the one or more llowed services is restricted, determining, by the UAV, an action to be performed based on the at least one restricted service, the action eing at least one of a communication service modification of the UAV, and a physical action of the UAV, and finally performing, by the UAV, the action.

Airborne locator of an underground object

A system for tracking a below-ground transmitter from an aerial receiver. The receiver has an antenna assembly, a processor, and a propulsion system. The antenna assembly detects the magnetic field from an underground transmitter and generates an antenna signal. The processor is programmed to receive the antenna signal and generate a command signal, which moves the receiver to a position above the transmitter. Once in the desired position, which may be a reference plane at a fixed elevation, the antenna assembly measures the magnetic field to determine the location of the drill bit along borepath.
