System and method for adapting a control function based on a user profile
The vehicle control system/method for adapting a control function based on a user profile may comprise: a gesture recognition module; a user profile module; a function control module; a processor; a non-transitory storage element coupled to the processor; encoded instructions stored in the non-transitory storage element, wherein the encoded instructions when implemented by the processor, configure the system to: identify a user; retrieve a user profile for the identified user; receive at a gesture recognition module, an input indicating a gesture from the user; identify a control function request corresponding to the gesture input; send a verification of the control function request; and receive at a function control module characteristics parsed from the user profile that effect the control function request by the user profile module to adapt a control function command for an adapted control function output by the function control module.
HEARING ASSESSMENT USING A HEARING INSTRUMENT
A computing system includes a memory and at least one processor. The memory is configured to store motion data indicative of motion of a hearing instrument. The at least one processor is configured to determine, based on the motion data, whether a user of the hearing instrument perceived a sound. The at least one processor is further configured to output data indicating whether the user perceived the sound.
SYSTEM FOR MONITORING RESPIRATORY CONDITIONS AND METHOD THEREOF
There is provided a method and system of monitoring a respiratory condition of a subject, the method including obtaining input data indicative of an alternating signal representative of change of length of at least part of a contour along a subject's chest wall and/or abdominal wall during one or more breathing cycles, the input data generated by periodically measuring the change of length during the breathing cycles; analyzing the input data to detect an irregular breathing pattern, the irregular breathing pattern represented by at least one local change in the form of the alternating signal during an expiratory phase of at least one of the one or more breathing cycles; and determining a respiratory condition of the subject based on a result of the detection.
HANDHELD OPTICAL IMAGING DEVICES AND METHODS
Handheld optical imaging devices and methods are disclosed herein. In an embodiment, an optical coherence tomography (OCT) system includes an OCT probe that is configured as a hand-held probe for imaging an eye of a patient, the OCT probe includes: an OCT optical system configured to direct a source OCT signal to the eye and configured to capture OCT scan signal returning from the eye; and an on-probe display carried by a handle, wherein the on-probe display is configured to display imaging data of the eye of a patient to an operator during OCT imaging.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEASURING A QUANTITY OF BREAST MILK CONSUMED BY A BABY
The system includes at least one infrared light intensity sensor positioned on substrate to measure infrared light incident from a baby's stomach during a feeding. The infrared light is provided by an infrared light source. An initial intensity of infrared light incident from the human stomach is measured at the beginning of the feeding. A feeding intensity of infrared light incident from the human stomach is measured at the end of the feeding. The ratio of these infrared intensity measurements are used to calculate a value for the volume ingested into the human stomach during the feeding. The infrared light intensity measurements can be taken continuously to provide a real-time report of how the feeding is progressing, such as to a parent or doctor. The light source and sensor can be incorporated into an article of clothing to provide non-invasive measurements that do not physically obstruct the feeding.
Wireless infant health monitor
A system for wirelessly monitoring the health of an infant comprising a sensing module removably disposed within a wearable article. At least a portion of the sensing module can be in contact with an infant's foot. The sensing module can include a processing unit configured to receive and process health readings received by the sensing module. A wireless transmitter can also be in communication with the processing unit. The wireless transmitter can be configured to transmit the processed health readings to a receiving station. The receiving station can indicate an alarm if the processed health readings indicate a health trend that falls outside of a particular threshold.
Daily Activity Sensor and System
A system and method for monitoring activities of a user. Sensor measurements are performed utilizing a sensor array of sensor tags. User activities are detected utilizing the sensor array of the sensor tags. The user activities are communicated to a hub associated with the sensor array of sensor tags.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MEASURING INFANT WEIGHT
An infant sleep device may include a platform for supporting an infant, a base upon which the platform is supported, and one or more weight sensors positioned to measure weight of an infant positioned on the platform.
BIOSIGNAL MEASUREMENT APPARATUS
A biosignal measurement apparatus is used by being affixed on a living body. The apparatus includes an affixed part that is a sheet, in which a signal-acquiring section of multiple electrodes and wiring connected to each of the electrodes are formed, and which can be freely expanded, contracted and bent and is adhesive; and a substrate that is connected to the wiring and on which a signal-processing circuit for wirelessly transmitting biosignals obtained through the wiring is mounted.
The signal-acquiring section is exposed on the surface of the affixed part and the affixed part and the substrate are stacked so that the back surface of the affixed part faces the substrate.
