Moisture and Fever Sensing Apparatus
A combined apparatus for indicating the elevated temperature of an infant and for sensing moisture in a diaper. The combined apparatus includes an elongated sensing strip made of highly efficient liquid absorption and transfer capillary wick material having a first end disposed in engagement with the diaper. The elongated sensing strip has a first side having a pair of screen-printed, spaced apart conductive ink bands which couple electrically at one end with a portable alarm unit and a second side having an elongated band of thermochromic ink printed thereon a segment of which is visible proximate the second end of the elongated sensing strip.
BREATH INDICATOR
This invention relates to a breath indicator that is receivable by a part of a breathing assistance apparatus that supplies gas to a patient. The indicator comprises an elongate body having a gas sampling end and an attachment end. The attachment end is adapted to attach to a part of a breathing assistance apparatus and for locating the gas sampling end. The gas sampling end is to be located in a region where gas from the patient is to be exhaled. The gas sampling end being in communication with a sensor comprising a detector material changeable between a first visual indicator state relating to an inhalation phase of the patient, and a second visual indicator state relating to an exhalation phase of the patient. The detector material is capable of changing between the visual indicator states at a sufficient rate to substantially correspond with the inhalation and exhalation phases of the patient.
MONITORING DEVICE, SENSOR DEVICE, AND SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING A PERSON
A monitoring device for a person, in particular for monitoring a sleeping infant, comprising a base station and a sensor device that is able to be connected to an item of clothing of the person, wherein the sensor device is connected wirelessly to the base station to transmit the vital data measured by the sensors, wherein the monitoring module of the base station comprises a camera that is able to be oriented towards the person by pivoting the monitoring module with respect to the base, wherein the monitoring module comprises an input unit and a display unit. A monitoring device for a person or a sensor device for use in a monitoring device or a method for monitoring a person that makes it possible to reliably monitor the person and important vital data of the person.
Automated CCHD screening and detection
Automated critical congenital heart defect (“CCHD”) screening systems and processes are described. A caregiver may be guided to use a single or dual sensor pulse oximeter to obtain pre- and post-ductal blood oxygenation measurements. A delta of the measurements indicates the possible existence or nonexistence of a CCHD. Errors in the measurements are reduced by a configurable measurement confidence threshold based on, for example, a perfusion index. Measurement data may be stored and retrieved from a remote data processing center for repeated screenings.
Portable rocker for newborn baby or infant
A rocker for supporting an infant or other item includes a carrier assembly and a support assembly. The carrier assembly has a support platform. The support assembly is disposed below the carrier assembly is operable to selectively impart motion to the carrier assembly in a plurality of different motion patterns. The motion patterns can include one or more of translation along a first linear direction, translation along a second linear direction perpendicular to the first linear direction, yaw relative to a first axis, pitch relative to a second axis that is perpendicular to the first axis, roll about a third axis that is perpendicular to the first and second axes, and elevation changes relative to the support assembly.
VISIBLE-LIGHT-IMAGE PHYSIOLOGICAL MONITORING SYSTEM WITH THERMAL DETECTING ASSISTANCE
A visible-light-image physiological monitoring system with thermal detecting assistance is disclosed. The system takes a visible-light image and a thermal image of a body at the same time. A processing unit identifies a body feature of the visible-light image and determines a coordinate of the feature. In a learning mode, an initial temperature of the body feature is determined from the thermal image according to the coordinate of the body feature. After then, a physiological status monitoring mode is executed to monitor the temperature changes of the body feature and output an alarm when the temperature is determined to be abnormal. Therefore, a monitoring accuracy of the visible-light-image physiological monitoring system is increased and avoids transmitting false alarms or no alarms.
MAT FOR DETECTING BIOLOGICAL INFORMATION, DEVICE FOR DETECTING BIOLOGICAL INFORMATION, AND SYSTEM FOR DISTRIBUTING BIOLOGICAL INFORMATION
A mat for detecting biological information has an air bag formed in an elongated shape and outputting air according to pressure from a living body, a plate-shaped cushion member in which a concave portion having substantially the same size as the air bag is formed in a central portion, the air bag is fitted in the concave portion, and has substantially the same thickness as the air bag, and a pair of synthetic resin plate-shaped members each having substantially the same size as the plate-shaped cushion member and being formed so as to be bendable as a whole and provided so as to sandwich the plate-shaped cushion member.
METHOD FOR MONITORING BREASTFEEDING EVENTS AND PROVIDING FEEDBACK
A method of monitoring a breastfeeding of a user that includes providing at least one detector that measures a first data of a breastfeeding event, receiving a second data from the user and processing the first data and the second data to create a lactation transfer report. The method communicates the lactation transfer report to a user device and/or a device accessible by one or more experts and provides feedback to the user based on an evaluation of the lactation transfer report by the one or more experts. The first data includes the time of the breastfeeding event, a length of the breastfeeding event and/or a rate of filling of the breastfeeding event. The user device receives the second data in the form of additional breastfeeding information from the user.
AN INTELLIGENT CARDIO PULMONARY SCREENING DEVICE FOR TELEMEDICINE APPLICATIONS
An intelligent and real-time cardio-pulmonary screening device (100) is disclosed. The device comprises a housing that encloses a body, said body comprising: a display unit (101); a plurality of light emitting diode (LED) indicators (102, 103); a first toggle switch (104); a second toggle switch (105); a plurality of volume controls (106, 107); a third toggle switch; an output port (109); a switch (110); a charging port (111); a temperature sensor; a transducer unit (112); and an artificial intelligence module. Measurement calibration using patterned sheets
A method for photogrammetric measurement includes providing a bedsheet having one or more patterns printed thereon in accordance with a pattern template, which defines respective locations of the one or more patterns in a template coordinate frame. An image is received, in an image coordinate frame, of a person lying on a bed, which is covered by the bedsheet. The image is processed in order to identify the one or more patterns in the image and to match the one or more patterns identified in the image to the one or more patterns in the pattern template. A transformation is computed, based on the matched patterns, between the image coordinate frame and the template coordinate frame. A dimension of the person is measured by applying the computed transformation to the image of the person.
