LIMB MOTION TRACKING BIOFEEDBACK PLATFORM AND METHOD OF REHABILITATION THERAPY FOR PATIENTS WITH SPASTICITY
A limb tracking biofeedback platform and rehabilitation therapy methodology for spasticity patients improves and maintains limb functionality permitting compliance monitoring, patient encouragement and biofeedback outside the presence of a therapist. The method includes defining a desired therapeutic limb motion, and a goal for repetitions of the therapeutic motion over a given period. The platform includes at least one sensor coupled to the patient's limb which is configured to track at least one of limb movement and orientation. Tracked movement and/or orientation data is transmitted to a platform controller which calculates a number of therapeutic movements of the patient's limb based upon the tracked movement and/or orientation data. Biofeedback to the patient is provided by displaying at least the number of therapeutic movements. Typically reminder prompts and positive reinforcement of goals achieved are also displayed to the patient. The therapist can also have access to the recorded data.
Systems and methods for diagnosing autism spectrum disorder using fMRI data
Systems and methods for diagnosing autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using only functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data are provided. Machine learning infrastructure can be used to identify reliable biomarkers of ASD in order to classify patients with ASD from among a group of typical control subjects using only fMRI. A sparse autoencoder (SAE) can be used, resulting in optimized extraction of features that can be used for classification. These features can then be fed into a deep neural network (DNN), which results in classification of fMRI brain scans more prone to ASD. The model can be trained to optimize the classifier while improving extracted features based on both reconstructed data error and the classifier error.
Using Reorganization and Plasticity to Accelerate Injury Recovery (URePAIR)
The name of this program is: Using Reorganization and Plasticity to Accelerate Injury Recovery (hereafter known as “URePAIR”). This is a request for protection and the exclusive right to my brain injury repair method for the purpose of promoting the progress of behavioral science investigation and clinical interventions to improve mentation and behavior.
KIT AND METHOD FOR MANAGING EMOTIONS IN KIDS
A kit for regulating emotions and feelings by kids. The kit includes a main article that has avatars implemented to express different emotions, calming cards that include instructions to manage emotions by the kids, and calming articles that can be used by the kids to calm their emotions based on the instructions in the calming cards.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ASSESSING EMOTION OF INFANTS AND YOUNG CHILDREN
A system and apparatus for collecting electroencephalography (EEG) data from infants and young children is disclosed.
Enhanced Smartwatch and Vitals Monitor
A smart wearable includes a band for securing the smart wearable to the arm of the individual, a housing attached to the band, the housing having a top, an opposite bottom and side surfaces, a processor disposed within the housing, a display at the top of the housing and operatively connected to the processor, a wireless transceiver disposed within the housing and operatively connected to the processor, an accelerometer disposed within the housing and operatively connected to the processor, a microphone disposed within the housing and operatively connected to the processor, a heart rate sensor for measuring heart rate of the individual, the heart rate sensor operatively connected to the processor and positioned at the bottom of the housing, and an optical sensor operatively connected to the processor, the optical sensor configured for detecting oxygen saturation within blood of the individual when the individual presses a finger against the optical sensor.
Baby Vitals Monitor
A method for monitoring a child utilizing a smart wearable. Biometrics of the child are measured utilizing at least the smart wearable. A status of the child and of the smart wearable is monitored. An alert is generated in response to determining the child has had an impact greater than a threshold, moves beyond a geo-fenced area, one or more of the biometrics exceeds a threshold, and determining the smart wearable has been cut, damaged, or broken.
Three-dimensional ultrasound image display method
Disclosed is a three-dimensional ultrasound image display method comprising the following steps: S1: obtaining a series of original two-dimensional images having spatial position and angle information by means of automatic or manual scanning; S2: performing image reconstruction on the basis of the original two-dimensional images to obtain three-dimensional volumetric images; S3: obtaining, from the three-dimensional volumetric images, one or more section images intersecting the original two-dimensional images, and obtaining one or more reconstructed two-dimensional images by means of image processing; S4: displaying together the one or more original two-dimensional images and the one or more section images in a three-dimensional space; and S5: selecting and displaying feature points, feature lines, and feature surfaces in the three-dimensional space on the basis of the original two-dimensional volumetric images. The present method provides an efficient and high-precision three-dimensional image display method, which can be widely applied to ultrasound and other three-dimensional imaging modes.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOTE ASSESSMENT USING GAZE TRACKING
A method of improving one of attention, ASD, and ADHD is disclosed. The method may include presenting first content to a user. The first content may include a first instruction and a first cue. The first instruction may include information for the user to interact with the first cue. Following the first set of instructions may do at least one of the following: improve attention, diagnose ASD, and diagnose ADHD in the user. The method may include tracking first user movement during presentation of the first content. The method may include evaluating the first user movement based on the first instruction to, at least one of, diagnose a first attention level, diagnose ASD, and diagnose ADHD in the user.
WORKSTATION TO IMPROVE EDUCATION AND CLINICAL INTERVENTIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH MILD TO SEVERE LEARNING DISABILITIES
A workstation for neurobiological disorder health professionals that aids professionals tracking, evaluating and archiving clinical and educational progress through a web application using 360-degree video. The invention allows for organized communication between internal and external resources of an institution to tackle patient/student needs that merit immediate attention from specialists either in an individual or group setting. For additional expertise in acute cases, the institution can get access to consult with specialists around the world through the invention's directory of professionals. The invention allows clinical supervisors to train staff and ensure consistency in therapeutic interventions and evaluations, as well as supervisors in a school setting for consistency in educational programming. The invention also accelerates staff training time through targeted supervision.
