Integrated Sensor Network Methods and Systems
Methods and systems for an integrated sensor network are described. In one embodiment, sensor data may be accessed from a plurality of motion sensors and a bed sensor deployed in a living unit for a first time period. An activity pattern for the first time period may be identified based on at least a portion of sensor data associated with the first time period. The activity pattern may represent a physical and cognitive health condition of a person residing in the living unit. Additional sensor data may be accessed from the motion sensors and the bed sensor deployed for a second time period. A determination of whether a deviation of the activity pattern of the first time period has occurred for the second time period may be performed. An alert may be generated based on a determination that the derivation has occurred. In some embodiments, user feedback is captured on the significance of the alerts, and the alert method is customized based on this feedback. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PRIVACY-PRESERVING HEALTH MONITORING
Various embodiments of a health-monitoring system are disclosed. In one aspect, this health-monitoring system includes a server and a set of health-monitoring sensors communicatively coupled to the server. In some embodiments, the server is configured to establish a new profile for a person to be monitored by: receiving a new profile request for establishing the new profile; generating a unique person-ID for the received new profile request; creating a new entry including the unique person-ID for the person in a profile database; and transmitting the unique person-ID along with the profile photos of the person to the set of health-monitoring sensors. Moreover, each health-monitoring sensor in the set of sensors is configured to establish the new profile by adding a new entry for the person in a person-ID dictionary of the health-monitoring sensor based on the received person-ID and the profile photos of the person.

The present invention provides a system for measuring instantaneous inflow rate of liquid, comprising: a receptacle, comprising an opening at a top side, a nozzle at a bottom and/or multiple holes on the side section of said receptacle configured to receive the inflow of liquid from said top opening, and simultaneously release said liquid through said nozzles; a sensing device, configured to sense the level of liquid within the receptacle and produce signals indicative of the level of liquid in the receptacle; and a processor, configured to receive said signals, calculate the level of liquid in the receptacle according to said signals; and analyze said calculations, to obtain the instantaneous inflow rate of liquid.
MULTI-MODAL APPROACH TO A SECURE AND CLOSED SOLUTION FOR PROVIDING SCHEDULED NOTIFICATIONS
A multi-modal portal system provides an authorization prior to establishing a visual interface connection between a support user or caller and a client user or receiving party. Once the caller is authorized, the caller is permitted to drop-in such that a visual interface connection is established with the receiving party. The authorization can be based on a profile configuration that indicates whether the caller has the credentials required for the visual interface. The authorization can require that a notification be sent to a trusted user or primary contact or the caller can be associated with a profile configuration that allows for a pre-authorization without requiring the notification. Also, security is enhanced by validating network devices and providing resiliency in data paths between network devices and data aggregators.
Activity capability monitoring
A method of monitoring activity capabilities of a subject, including determining sensor data for each of a plurality of sensors, the sensors being positioned within a living environment of the subject and the sensor data being indicative of activities performed by the subject; for each of a plurality of activity domains, determining a domain score indicative of a level of activity within the respective activity domain, the domain score being determined using sensor data from a respective combination of sensors within the respective domain; determining a reference activity level using reference domain scores during a reference time period; determining a current activity level using current domain scores during a monitoring time period; and generating an activity indicator in accordance with the current activity level and the reference activity level, the activity indicator being indicative of differences between the current activity level and the reference activity level, thereby providing feedback on the activity capabilities of the subject.
NON-INVASIVE WEARABLE BIOMECHANICAL AND PHYSIOLOGY MONITOR FOR INJURY PREVENTION AND REHABILITATION
A wearable device measures, tracks, and monitors a wearer's physical physiological conditions during a rehabilitation period. Metrics such as temperature, patellar shifting, limb circumference, and acceleration may be collected. Changes in monitored conditions may be assessed for detecting medical abnormalities which require specialized attention, including for example embolisms or infections. A networked communication system and various user interfaces may be used for medical support personnel and patients alike to stay updated with the patient's rehabilitation progress and to make adjustments in a patient's individual rehabilitation program.
ORTHOSTATIC HYPOTENSION MONITORING METHOD AND APPARATUS
Embodiments of this disclosure provide an orthostatic hypotension monitoring method. The method includes displaying a blood pressure monitoring interface having operation instruction information that instructs an operator to confirm a posture state of a monitored object; measuring physiological parameter data of the monitored object, in response to the state confirmation instruction of the operator, and acquiring an orthostatic hypotension monitoring result based on the physiological parameter data automatically. This method can provide the operator with an auxiliary interface according with the orthostatic hypotension assessment process, and guide the operator to complete the orthostatic hypotension assessment according to the standardized assessment criteria. Accordingly, the operation process is simple and convenient, and the accuracy of the monitoring results is relatively high. In additional, an orthostatic hypotension monitoring apparatus is further provided in this disclosure.
Fall detection system and method
A fall detection system includes a radar that generates emitting radio waves and receives reflected radio waves from a person under detection, a data generator that generates a point cloud according to the reflected radio waves, an area determining device that determines a sub-area of a detecting area in which the person under detection lies, and a classifier that determines whether the person under detection falls according to the point cloud. The classifier adaptively processes the point cloud with different methods according to sub-areas as determined by the area determining device respectively to determine whether the person under detection falls.
