Glass containers and sealing assemblies for maintaining seal integrity at low storage temperatures
A sealed pharmaceutical container includes a shoulder, a neck extending from the shoulder, and a flange extending from the neck. The flange includes an inclined sealing surface defining an opening in the sealed pharmaceutical container. The sealed pharmaceutical container also includes a sealing assembly including a stopper extending over the sealing surface of the flange and a cap securing the stopper to the flange. The stopper has a glass transition temperature (T.sub.g) that is greater than or equal to −70° C. and less than or equal to −45° C. The sealing assembly maintains a helium leakage rate of the sealed pharmaceutical container of less than or equal to 1.4×10.sup.−6 cm.sup.3/s as the sealed pharmaceutical container is cooled to a temperature of less than or equal to −45° C.
PLURAL-MODE AUTOMATIC MEDICAMENT PACKAGING SYSTEM
A plural-mode automatic medicament packaging system. In embodiments, the system may include an automatic dispensing machine including an automatic medicament dispensing unit and may further include pouch packaging and blister package packaging units. The medicament dispensing unit may include one or more storage and dispensing units which store and dispense medicaments. Medicaments output from the medicament dispensing unit may be packaged in a pouch package by the pouch packaging unit. Alternatively, a diverter may direct medicaments output from the medicament dispensing unit to the pouch package packaging unit for packaging in a blister package. A single automatic medicament packaging system can package medicaments in different types of packaging providing a pharmacy with the opportunity to package medicaments in the form of packaging most appropriate to meet patient needs.

Method and a Device for Heat-Sealing a Film/Foil Onto a Peripheral Top Edge of a Packaging and Such a Packaging
The invention relates to a method for sealing an opening of a packaging, in which the packaging includes at least a peripheral wall with a peripheral top edge. The peripheral top edge forms the contour of the opening, including the following process steps: positioning a flexible film/foil layer over the peripheral top edge in such a way that the opening is completely covered and the film/foil layer overhangs beyond the peripheral top edge; heat-sealing the film/foil layer to the peripheral top edge of the packaging; folding the part of the film/foil layer overhanging beyond the opening towards the peripheral wall; heat-sealing the folded-over film/foil layer to the peripheral wall at a distance from the peripheral top edge, in which case a contact point of a device for heat-sealing the folded-over film/foil layer to the peripheral wall at a distance from the peripheral top edge does not move with respect to the film/foil layer during the heat-sealing, at least for as long as the contact point is in contact with the film/foil layer. The invention also relates to a device for heat-sealing according to the above method, and to a packaging manufactured in this way.
THERMOFORMING TRIM REMOVAL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A system and method of providing a secondary means for removing thermoforming trim material from a continuous-loop clamping chain (202) having clamps (302) biased to engage a clamp grip surface (314). A cam (400), attached to a sprocket located downstream from a cutting station (114) but upstream from a forming station (102), provides an outer surface that engages a clamp release surface (306) as the link member (300) passes over the sprocket.

LIGHT EMITTING DIODE (LED) LIGHT BULB PACKAGING
A method includes obtaining a container sized to fit multiple high voltage light emitting diode (LED) lightbulbs, adding multiple loose high voltage LED lightbulbs to the container to fill the container, and sealing the container, such that the container contains a higher density of high voltage LED light bulbs than a same sized container can hold protective packaged equivalent watt incandescent bulbs.
"Gentle Touch" Modified Atmosphere Meat Packaging System and Method of Packaging Meat
The present invention relates in general to the field of packaged meat product, and more specifically, to a modified atmosphere meat packaging system and method of packaging meat product. The modified atmosphere meat packaging system and method comprises a lid-stock container with a reduced-volume headspace configured to contain a modified atmosphere consisting of carbon dioxide and nitrogen. Spices, salts, rubs and seasonings may be further placed on the meat product to add flavor and mask a myoglobin state during long periods of shipping, storage and retail display. An impermeable gaseous barrier is configured to “gently touch” the meat product to prevent movement inside the meat packaging system and maintain an attractive appearance to consumers. The purpose of the invention is to provide a packaged meat product that appears freshly cut and wrapped straight from the butcher at a local meat market as opposed to a centralized packaging facility.

Contact lens case and related methods and kits
A case is provided for holding one or more contact lenses. The case is configured to receive an inner pod, and the case includes an upper part and a lower part. The upper part is structured to move relative to the lower part from an open configuration wherein the upper and lower parts are at least partially separated to a closed configuration wherein the upper and lower parts are together. The upper part is also structured to move relative to the lower part from a disengaged position to an engaged position wherein, in the disengaged position, the case is movable between the open and closed configurations and in the engaged position, the case is locked in the closed configuration.
