Frame for a packaging machine
There is provided a frame for a horizontal flow-pack packaging machine utilizing a center folded or side sealing machine with twin reel or reel feed form below, suitable for packaging a food product or a non-food product with heat sealable or cold weldable plastic film wound on a reel. The frame is provided with two cantilevered supports arranged one above the other in parallel, the lower support supports the operating mechanical components of the packaging machine and the upper support supports the control group and the pneumatic system of the packaging machine.
Packaging apparatus and method for wrapping absorbent paper product
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to packaging apparatuses and methods adapted to wrap absorbent paper product in a continuous sheet of film formed into tube shape with an asymmetric opening. A former may include a plurality of forming members, wherein each forming member includes an outer surface connected with an inner surface along an edge. In operation, a continuous sheet of film advances around the edges of the forming members and forms an opening. In addition, opposing longitudinal edges of the continuous sheet are guided into an overlapping arrangement that forms the plastic film into a tube shape that extends downstream from the opening in the machine direction. The opening is symmetrical about a first axis and is asymmetrical about a second axis. Absorbent paper product to be packaged advances in the machine direction through the opening and into the tube.
WRAPPING MACHINE FOR WRAPPING A FILM ABOUT ARTICLES
A machine for wrapping a film to form packs containing single articles includes a conveyor transporting the articles, an aspirated conveyor belt arranged consecutively to the conveyor, a supply station feeding a film and arranging the film with a central part resting on the conveyor belt and with lateral parts projecting from the belt, a frame associated with the conveyor belt and tunnel-conformed for passage of the articles, and folder means for abutting the projecting lateral parts of the film and winding the parts about the tunnel-conformed frame to form a tube of film about the tunnel-conformed frame. A glue device applies glue on one of the two flaps of the film and heat welding and cutting means are activatable for clamping the tube of film and heat-welding and cutting the film to obtain an envelope containing the article.

Drug supply device and drug inspection method in drug supply device
A drug supply device includes a hopper that collects solid drugs discharged from tablet cases on the basis of predetermined prescription data, an inspection device that inspects the solid drugs introduced from the hopper, and a packaging device that fills and packages the inspected solid drugs into a packaging sheet. The inspection device includes inspection containers that each hold a single administration dosage of the solid drugs, a movement mechanism that moves the inspection containers, and an imaging device that captures an image of the solid drugs in the inspection containers. As a result of capturing the image of the solid drugs in the inspection container by the imaging device, when a number of the solid drugs is different from the prescription data, the solid drugs are disposed of.
REUSABLE CLOSURE SYSTEM FOR PACKAGING
A reusable closure system is disclosed for flexible packaging applications. The system generally includes base and lid portions. The base portion can be bonded to underlying package material and includes first and second fields of touch fasteners separated by a multi-layer buffer zone. The buffer zone can be at least in part co-located with a frangible region of underlying package material. In some embodiments, the buffer zone is substantially free of active bonding agent, such that there is little or no active bonding agent overlapping the frangible region. One of the touch fastener fields of the base can be deployed at least partially within the area defined by the frangible region. The other touch fastener field is deployed around the buffer zone. The lid portion can be bonded to the package material and/or base portion, and includes a hinge and another touch fastener field to mate with the base fields.
METHOD FOR FORMING BIODEGRADABLE BAGS
A method is disclosed for forming a package of a non-weldable material on a vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) machine or a horizontal form-fill-seal (HFFS) machine. The method comprises providing a continuous web of the non-weldable material having exposed areas of adhesive. In an embodiment the method is implemented on a VFFS machine that has a fill tube designed and configured to avoid interaction with the adhesive exposing areas of the web.
In a preferred embodiment the adhesive exposing areas are formed by providing a repeating pattern of sets of apertures in the web, and fully covering each set with a label that is coated with adhesive.
COMBINED WEIGHING SYSTEM, COMBINED WEIGHING METHOD, AND COMBINED WEIGHING PROGRAM
A combined weighing system 1 includes a first X-ray inspection device 20, a combined weighing device 40, a bag making and packaging device 50, a weight inspection device 60, a second X-ray inspection device 70, and a management device 90 that manages each device. The management device 90 revises a weight conversion table of the first X-ray inspection device 20 and a correction value of the combined weighing device 40 based on an average value of weights of products B, which is calculated from a result of inspection over a certain time period in the weight inspection device 60.
Folding assembly of a continuous sheet of packaging material, in particular paper, applicable to automatic packaging machines and an automatic packaging machine comprising such a folding assembly
An automatic packaging machine including a folding assembly of a continuous sheet of packaging material, in particular paper, having a sliding plane for conveying the continuous sheet of packaging material along a conveying direction is disclosed. The sliding plane includes an entrance end for entering the continuous sheet of paper and two opposite sides parallel to the conveying direction. Further, the folding assembly includes a feeding assembly for feeding the continuous sheet of packaging material along a feeding plane which is substantially orthogonal to the conveying direction and defined at the entrance end of the sliding plane. The folding assembly further includes a block associated with at least one of the opposite sides of the sliding plane and a body associated with the block and provided with a cone-sector surface which supports a longitudinal flap during longitudinal creasing and accompanies it during the folding along the longitudinal creasing.
