CONVERTING MACHINE
Systems, methods, and apparatus for converting a sheet material into packaging templates can include a converting machine that performs conversion functions, such as cutting, creasing, and scoring, on the sheet material. Items to be packed into boxes formed of the packaging templates can be used as the pattern for determining the location of performance of the conversion functions on the sheet material. Accordingly, no intermediate measuring of the items may be required prior to performance of the conversion functions. Instead, longheads can be positioned adjacent to opposing sides of the items and cross heads can be advanced inward to the positioned longheads.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PACKAGING ERECTION
Methods of erecting boxes include providing box templates having a plurality of panels. Some of the panels have an adhesive disposed thereon. The box template is folded to form a partially folded box template. Some of the panels are attached together with the adhesive on some of the panels to hold the box template in the partially folded state even without user assistance. The box template is further folded to form a completely erected. Some of the panels are attached together with the adhesive on some of the panels to hold the box template in the completely erected state even without user assistance. Additionally, securing elements may be used to more securely maintain the box template in the completely erected state.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FOLDING LOWER RETENTION FLAPS
A system including a pair of prongs extending in a transverse direction, spaced apart from one another by a gap configured to receive carton blanks and product containers therein, and to crease retention flaps of the carton blank, wherein each prong travels along a cam path, a panel extending in a longitudinal direction in-between the pair of prongs configured to support the product containers and guide the retentions flaps, a pair of asymmetrical guide rails underneath the panel configured to alternatingly crease a first primary flap and a second primary flap of the carton blank, and a conveyor mechanism proximate to the panel configured to move they product container and a carton blanks along the panel.
Pet-medicine-capsule wrapper apparatus and method
Methods and compositions for obscuring medicines formed as tablets, capsules, pills, and so forth may be presented in clean packaging, with built-in work space on a substrate, film layer. A flexible paste, gum, putty, or malleable and formable treat material may be folded without touching the actual treat composition on its outermost surface. A medicament set onto a location on a surface of the composition may then be folded inside by folding, molding, or otherwise manipulating the composition, thus forming a sealed morsel, leaving no residue (e.g., powder, scent, taste, etc.) of the medicament on the outer surface of the composition when administered to a pet.
Corner piece for packaging
A corner piece is provided for forming packaging elements. The corner piece includes an inner member and an outer member having respective apexes. A connecting member connects the inner and outer members and substantially aligns their apexes, while spacing the inner and outer members apart from one another. A securing element is provided in the outer member for securing an exterior edge protector along the outer member. The securing element includes substantially U-shaped retaining walls engageable with the exterior edge protector. In some embodiments, the spacing between the inner and outer members defines retaining cavities for securing adjacent sidewalls of a storage container.
FOLDING UPPER RETENTION WINGS
A method includes folding leading upper flap of a carton blank, folding a trailing upper flap of a carton blank, and passing the leading and trailing upper flaps in a folded condition into a gap between a pair of guide rails. The method includes interlocking the leading upper flap into a leading can in a pack of product, interlocking the trailing upper flap into a trailing can in a pack of product, and wrapping the carton blank around the pack of product to package the pack of product together.
System and Method for Folding Napkins
An apparatus includes a platform having an upper surface configured to support a napkin overlying the upper surface, and also having a cavity recessed from the upper surface. Means are provided for applying vacuum pressure in the slot to draw a napkin downward from the upper surface into the cavity, and for rolling the napkin in the cavity.

Closing station for closing a cardboard box formed about an article and machine for packing an article internally of a cardboard box obtained from a cardboard blank
A conveyor receives a cardboard box formed about an article, with a first lateral flank uncovered. An inlet receives the cardboard box with the first lateral closing wall coplanar with a base wall, a second lateral closing box wall folded to cover a second lateral article flank, a third lateral closing box wall folded to cover a third lateral article flank, a fourth lateral closing box wall folded to cover a fourth lateral article flank, and an upper closing box wall folded to cover an upper article face. An arrest stops the box, a first folding component rotates and folds the first lateral closing box wall to cover the first lateral article flank, and second folding component rotates a closing tab (AC), hinged to the upper closing wall to fold and bring a closing tab against the first lateral closing wall for closing the cardboard box.
Package system
A package system is provided that includes a main body having a bilayer thermoplastic laminated film structure including a first layer and a second layer with an adhesive layer disposed between the first layer and the second layer. The main body can further include an array of holes and a removable panel disposed on the array of holes. The removable panel can include a plurality of cutouts, where each one of the cutouts corresponds to one of the holes. The removable panel can be configured to be selectively pulled off the main body.
