Label-affixing machine and stretch-wrapping machine
A label-affixing machine affixes a label, which is conveyed by a label conveying body, to the back surface of a product being conveyed. The label-affixing machine includes a label holding unit configured to hold a label so that an adhesive surface of the label faces outward, a pressing mechanism configured to press a label conveying body, which is disposed on a side facing the label holding unit, against the adhesive surface of the held label by moving the label conveying body toward the label holding unit, and a controller that controls the drive of the label conveying body and the pressing mechanism to affix the label to the back surface of the product.
CONTAINMENT FORCE-BASED WRAPPING
Control of a wrapping apparatus is facilitated by enabling an operator to input a load containment force requirement and/or a minimum number of layers of packaging material to be applied to a load, with a wrap control system automatically determining wrap force and other parameters required to meet user input requirements and/or parameters to minimize the expertise required of an operator and to provide more consistent and reliable wrapping of loads. In addition, a wrapping apparatus may be controlled to apply at least a minimum number of layers of packaging material to a load throughout a contiguous region thereof.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FORMING CONTAINER GROUPINGS
Provided is a method for packaging piece good groupings, in which a plurality of piece goods, particularly containers, are at least partially interconnected by means of a first connection, wherein at least two-piece goods of this plurality are directly interconnected by the connection. According to the embodiment, this plurality of piece goods connected by the first connection is packaged with a second connection in the form of a second wrapping element, and said plurality of piece goods connected by a first connection is conveyed by a conveyor device to a packaging unit and enclosed, particularly wrapped, with the second wrapping element by said packaging unit.
Apparatus and method for cutting and/or crimping wrapping material
A cutting, or crimping, apparatus having first and second opposed jaw members which are mounted on a frame and are movable relative to each other from a first axial position to a second axial position along an axis so as to respectively cut, or crimp, wrapping material extending between adjacent articles wherein at least one of the jaw members is rotatably mounted to the frame such that it is rotatable from a first rotational position to a second rotational position, in the first rotational position the jaw members are movable relative to each other along a first said axis and in the second rotational position the jaw members are movable relative to each other along a second said axis that is inclined relative to the first axis.
Wrapping machine
A wrapping machine for wrapping material around a load includes a wrapping unit to wrap a portion of the material around the load and a supplying unit to supply the material portion to the wrapping unit. The wrapping unit includes wrapping device to unwind the material portion from the supplying unit and wrap it around the load. The wrapping unit includes a supporting ring, rotating around a wrapping axis and provided with a plurality of wrapping rollers, and an unwinding arm having a first end rotatably fixed to the support ring and a second end supporting at least one unwinding roller to abut and guide the portion of material towards the load during wrapping. The unwinding arm is movable to move the unwinding roller to/from the load during wrapping.
Wrapping machine
A wrapping machine for wrapping groups of products with an extensible plastic film to form bundles includes a conveyor for supporting and moving a group of products along an advancing direction inside the wrapping machine, a supporting device for supporting the group of products received from the conveyor, a wrapping unit for wrapping a portion of film around the group of products, supported by the supporting device, in order to form a bundle, and a supplying unit to supply the wrapping unit with the film portion separated from the film. The supporting device includes a gripping device that holds an initial flap of the film portion during the wrapping of the group of products, a containment device to abut against the group of products to guide the products when moved along the advancing direction through the wrapping unit and/or to support and restrain the group of products during wrapping.
Pass through device for wrapping objects
A device and corresponding systems and methods are provided for wrapping an object resting on an object conveyor defining an object path, the object conveyor conveying the object in a forward direction along the object path, the device comprising: an orbital wrapping mechanism configured to travel in an elliptical path around the object path and to deposit a stretch wrapping material; a wrapping material conveyor configured for cooperation with the object conveyor, the wrapping material conveyor positioned beneath the object conveyor such that when the orbital wrapping mechanism travels along the elliptical path, the orbital wrapping mechanism deposits the stretch wrapping material around both at least a portion of the object and at least a portion of the wrapping material conveyor, the wrapping material conveyor having at least one bearing surface in contact with the stretch wrapping material and movable in a forward direction such that the stretch wrapping material is conveyed along with the object in the forward direction.
Bottle wrapping apparatus employing thin film of stretching plastic material
A method for the wrapping of containers, particularly bottles, into bundles including rows of adjacent containers, wherein the containers are fed continuously, according to a displacement axis, to a wrapping station (2, 3) and wound with a spiral of a stretching plastic film defining a continuous wrapping. The containers (B) are pushed into a portion upstream of the wrapping station (2, 3) by a conveying unit (1) provided with at least guiding and supporting elements of the containers and with a pacing unit (1a), the containers (B) wrapped with the stretching plastic film being withdrawn, downstream of each winding unit (2, 3), with the help of a dragging device (T1, T2, T3), the guiding and supporting elements including members (11, 12, 13) elongated in the longitudinal direction of the displacement axis which extend also into the wrapping station (2, 3).
STRETCH WRAPPING MACHINE WITH CURVE FIT CONTROL OF DISPENSE RATE
A method, apparatus and program product utilize curve fitting to control a dispense rate for a packaging material dispenser. Predicted demands at a plurality of rotational positions of a load relative to a packaging material dispenser may be used to generate one or more points to which a curve may be fit, such that dispense rates may be determined for rotational positions between those for which predicted demands have been determined using the curve.
