Numerous aspects of communication devices, methods, and systems are described in this application. One aspect is an apparatus comprising an energy generator comprising a plurality of generator elements operable to output a plurality of different energy types in a signal direction toward the skin. Each generator element of the plurality of generator elements may be independently operable, when the energy generator is positioned relative to skin, to communicate with different nerves associated with the skin by outputting a different portion of an energy signal in the signal direction toward the skin with one energy type of the plurality of different energy types.

A fabric-based item may be provide with a stretchable band. The stretchable band may be formed from a ring-shaped strip of stretchable fabric having an opening configured to fit around a body part of a user. Circuitry may be coupled to strands of material in the stretchable band. The circuitry may include sensor circuitry for making measurements on the body part such as electrocardiogram measurements, blood pressure measurements, and respiration rate measurements. Wireless communications circuitry in the fabric-based item may be used to communicate wirelessly with external electronic equipment. A wireless power transmitting device may transmit wireless power. A coil formed from conductive strands in the fabric-based item may be used by wireless power receiving circuitry in the fabric-based item to receive the wireless power. The coil may have one or more turns that run around the ring-shaped strip of stretchable fabric.

The present invention relates to a passive terahertz biometric imaging device configured to be arranged under an at least partially transparent display panel and configured to capture a terahertz image of an object located on an opposite side of the transparent display panel, the terahertz biometric imaging device comprising: an image sensor comprising an antenna pixel array arranged to detect terahertz radiation produced by the object, for capturing a terahertz image of the object.

A pendant system includes a pendant, a vibration element, and a controller. The pendant is configured to mount on a necklace. The pendant includes a housing. The vibration element is located within the housing and is configured generate haptic feedback when activated. The controller is located within the housing and is configured to activate the vibration element randomly.

Systems and methods to adapt a digital application environment based on psychological attributes of individual users are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: store, in electronic storage, information associated with the individual users; obtain application usage information from client computing platforms associated with users; obtain stated information provided by the users; determine, based on the sets of answers, sets of psychological parameter values for the individual users; identify, based on the sets of psychological parameter values for the individual users, clusters of users that have similar sets of psychological parameter values; determine adaptions to the digital application environments provided by the client computing platforms for the individual users based on the clusters; and transmit the adaptations to the client computing platforms for implementation.

Systems and apparatuses for generating customized user output are provided. The system may collect sensor data, associated with the user, from a variety of sources. The system may use the sensor data to generate a customized user output. The system may analyze the sensor data, and determine, based on the sensor data and the customized user output, one or more user recommendation outputs. The system may update the customized user output based on additional or subsequent sensor data, and/or based on whether or not the user recommendation output was completed, as determined from subsequent sensor data.

A platform configured to provide virtual glass in order to augment and improve focus group sessions for each actor within the ecosystem. The platform may be configured to allow a moderator, one or more test subjects, and one or more client users to participate in a focus group session at geographically diverse locations. An information processing apparatus includes a memory and at least one processor. In the memory, a program is stored. The processor is configured to execute the program stored in the memory, and generate prescription data for skincare of a skin based on history data of an index value representing change in blood flow before and after treatment. The index value is calculated based on a first skin image and a second skin image. The first skin image is obtained by imaging the skin before a blood flow enhancement treatment, and the second skin image is obtained by imaging the skin after the blood flow enhancement treatment.

To identify physiological states that are predictive of a person's performance, a system provides physiological and behavioral interfaces and a data processing pipeline. Physiological sensors generate physiological data about the person while performing a task. The behavioral interface generates performance data about the person while performing the task. The pipeline collects the physiological and performance data along with reference data from a population of people performing the same or similar tasks. In various implementations, the physiological states are brain states. In one implementation, the pipeline computes bandpower ratios. In another implementation, the pipeline decomposes the physiological data into frequency-banded components, identifies brain states derived from the decomposed data—for example, clusters of correlations of decomposed data envelopes—grades the performance data, compares the graded performance data to the brain states, and identifies statistical relationships between the brain states and levels of performance.
