SLEEP MONITORING CAP
A sleep-monitoring cap includes interconnected electrodes embedded within a body of the sleep-monitoring cap. The interconnected electrodes are located at positions across a central transverse region, below and along a side of each eye, and on a rear mid-region of a person's head when wearing the sleep-monitoring cap. The sleep-monitoring cap includes a vibratory device embedded within the sleep-monitoring cap, wherein the vibratory device is connected to the interconnected electrodes. The sleep-monitoring cap includes processing circuitry embedded within the sleep-monitoring cap. The processing circuitry is configured to monitor, convert, process, and store brain wave activity retrieved by the interconnected electrodes from the person wearing the sleep-monitoring cap; determine whether the monitored brain wave activity includes low amplitude mixed-frequency waves and if so, activate the vibratory device; determine whether the monitored brain wave activity includes theta waves followed by vertex sharp waves and if so, activate the vibratory device.
FOOT STRIKE ANALYZER SYSTEM AND METHODS
Systems, methods, and software products analyze foot strikes. A runner profile defining characteristics of a user and a shoe type of the shoes is received. Shoe characteristics are retrieved based upon the shoe type. A model of shoe wear is configured based upon both the runner profile and the shoe characteristics. Sensor data indicative of movement of a runner's foot is received from a foot strike monitor configured with the shoes and processed through the model to determine a user's expected lifetime for the shoes. The user's expected lifetime is indicated to the user.
Systems and methods for automated body mass index calculation to determine value
A system and method for automated body mass index is disclosed. The disclosed method operates within a system architecture including one or more computing devices, one or more servers, and one or more databases. A processor operating within the one or more servers executes one or more algorithms for detecting relevant features associated with a potential client's multimedia information. The method may include calculating feature values, such as abdomen circumference, face width, face height, cheekbone width, jaw width, and neck width, and the like as well as calculating the body mass index of the potential client using one or more regression algorithms. A baseline and updated BMI may be determined, and used for determining a baseline and updated value.
Brain activity feature amount extraction method
This brain activity feature amount extraction method includes acquiring a combination of a plurality of data items in order of higher effectiveness for discriminating whether a subject is a healthy person or a non-healthy person, among the plurality of data items, on the basis of the index value serving as the index indicating effectiveness or non-effectiveness for discriminating the group of healthy persons and the group of non-healthy persons from each other, and displaying the acquired combination of the plurality of data items in order of higher effectiveness.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTENT TARGETING USING EMOTIONAL CONTEXT INFORMATION
This disclosure relates to systems and methods that use contextual information relating to a user's emotions and/or moods in connection with information targeting and content tagging. In some embodiments, user moods and/or emotional states may be determined and/or otherwise inferred using certain contextual information collected using one or more sensors included in devices associated with a user. Obtaining information relating to a user's mood and/or emotional state may allow for, among other things, more efficient targeting of content, search results, and/or other information that is well matched to a user's interests at a given point in time. In further embodiments, information relating to a user's mood and/or emotional state may be used to tag and/or otherwise associate content with information relating to the user's mood and/or emotional state while viewing and/or capturing the content.
METHOD TO ADJUST AVATAR ATTRIBUTES USING FITNESS METRICS
A method is disclosed including receiving from a user a request to associate an avatar in a computer-implemented virtual world with a wearable device, creating an association between the avatar and the wearable device in response to the request, and receiving from the wearable device activity metric data for the user generated by a sensor of the wearable device. The activity metric data is generated by the wearable device in response to the wearable device sensing the user performing an activity. The method further including determining based on the received activity metric data a type of the sensed activity, determining at least one attribute of the avatar that corresponds to the determined type of the activity, determining an amount to adjust the at least one attribute based on the received activity metric data, and adjusting the determined at least one attribute of the avatar by the determined amount.
DETECTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
Detection systems and methods of use thereof, and, in particular, hyperspectral fluorescence systems and methods for detecting aerosolized viral biologics and/or carcinogenic compounds or elements. The system utilizes, and the method is, a non-invasive, immediate, and non-biohazard byproduct method (with the actual imaging to determination generally occurring in less than 3 seconds) with a throughput of the station in around ten seconds (which is allowing for sanitization of the station before and after each individual is tested).
DISPLAY DEVICES AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A DISPLAY DEVICE
According to various embodiments, a display device may be provided. The display device may include: a receiver configured to receive user data based on an electroencephalography measurement; at least one light source; and a controller configured to control the at least one light source based on the user data.
Similarity Evaluation Method Using Brain Waves, Evaluation Device, Evaluation System, And Program
Provided are a method, a device, a system, and a program for evaluating similarity of brain activity with respect to an object to be evaluated, using data obtained by a simple measurement of brain waves. Brain wave data related to cognitive processing with respect to a plurality of sensory stimuli are dimensionally compressed, and a distribution of the object to be evaluated is displayed on a two-dimensional plane or three-dimensionally. In this way, similarity of brain information with respect to the plurality of sensory stimuli is evaluated, and the similarity is visualized. The brain wave data related to the cognitive processing include brain wave data upon selection of a stimulus as a target, and brain wave data caused by a non-target stimulus event.
Method and system for assessing drinking behavior
Method and system for self-assessment of drinking behavior. According to one embodiment, the method includes examining a transdermal alcohol response curve obtained from a drinking event, querying a user on their feelings of intoxication after or during the event, and using the combination of the objective measurement and subjective feelings of intoxication to provide an alert or status during subsequent drinking events. In so doing, the method mitigates at least some of the drawbacks associated with conventional alcohol monitoring devices by correlating an individual's reported feelings of intoxication with an objective transdermal measurement of alcohol.
