An ammunition packaging apparatus and system is reconfigurable to package a select caliber of ammunition by changing a set of components to those associated with the selected caliber of ammunition and selecting the corresponding operating procedure. An ammunition collating and packaging apparatus can be quickly reconfigured from packaging a first caliber of ammunition to packaging a second caliber of ammunition by quickly replacing a define set of components and modifying operationally timings to correspond to the selected caliber.

A part packing system for packing a part in an elongated bag includes a bag holding machine including a first bag gripper mechanism, a second bag gripper mechanism, and an air nozzle. The first bag gripper mechanism is configured to hold a first end of the elongated bag. The first bag gripper mechanism opens the first end of the elongated bag. The second bag gripper mechanism is configured to hold a second end of the elongated bag. The second bag gripper mechanism closes the second end of the elongated bag. The air nozzle is located proximate to the first bag gripper mechanism. The air nozzle is configured to inflate the elongated bag with an airflow directed into the first end of the elongated bag. The first bag gripper mechanism holds the inflated elongated bag with the first end open to receive the part in the open first end while the air nozzle directs the airflow into the elongated bag.

A tray for receiving sausages is provided. The tray includes cells which are adapted to substantially match the shape of sausages or other soft materials. The tray may be vacuum sealed to cause a relatively uniform top surface suitable for stacking. The tray may be sealed without pre-freezing the sausages and without causing significant deformation to said sausages upon thawing. The tray may be loaded in an automated manner without the use of robotic arms placing individual sausages into the tray.

A cigarette filter rod boxing machine, including a cigarette filter rod holding mechanism and a cigarette filter rod pushing mechanism. The cigarette filter rod holding mechanism includes a lifting groove and a lifting power mechanism. The cigarette filter rod pushing mechanism includes a bottom plate, a middle push plate, a middle push vertical plate, an upper push plate, and an upper push plate limiting mechanism. The middle push vertical plate is vertically fixed on one side of the middle push plate, and the other side of the middle push vertical plate is precisely opposite to the other side of the U-shaped groove body. The first power mechanism used for controlling the middle push plate and the components on the middle push plate to advance to or return from the inside of the lifting groove is arranged between the bottom plate and the middle push plate.

A dosing and packaging apparatus (1) for long pasta comprising at least one dosing unit (2) and a cartoner (3) below the dosing unit. The dosing unit comprises weighing means (21, 22) for doses of long pasta, and the cartoner comprises trays (31, 33) for containing doses of weighed long pasta, a chain conveyor (32) for horizontally moving the trays, and a device for forming and filling cartons with the doses of long pasta from the trays. The dosing unit comprises a rotor (23) with more than one compartment (25) for pouring doses of weighed long pasta directly into the trays. The rotation of the rotor and the horizontal motion of the trays are synchronized so that each compartment pours a dose of weighed long pasta into a respective tray placed immediately below the rotor.
