The data recorder is optionally part of the monitoring system and in some cases includes at least part of the controller. The controller may be configured to receive data via the input port, the data being related to a subject lifting an object. Using the data, the controller may locate body parts of the subject while the subject is lifting the object and monitor body movements of the subject during the lift. Further, the controller may be configured to determine a value related to a load of the object based on the body movements monitored. The controller may output via the output port the value determined and/or lift assessment information for the subject.
