The device (1) comprises: an application head (10) provided with an application roller (11) for applying a plurality of handles (M) supplied in the form of a continuous web (12) and subsequently cut into portions, each handle (M) having adhesive ends (E) for engagement with the corresponding film (P); an abutment mechanism (14) for supporting a plurality of films (P) supplied in the form of a continuous web (5) and subsequently cut into portions, the roller (11) of the head (10) and the abutment mechanism (14) being relatively movable between a non-operating condition, in which they are not engaged, and an operating condition in which the roller (11) of the head (10) is arranged at the abutment mechanism (14), against one of the films (P) being supplied in order to apply on the latter a respective handle (M) being supplied. The roller (11) of the head (10) is motorized and is independently controllable with respect to the feeding of the films (P) being supplied.
Method of forming a carrier for containers
A carrier that is at least partially holding a plurality of containers. The carrier can include a plurality of panels comprising a bottom panel, a first side panel foldably connected to the bottom panel, a second side panel foldably connected to the bottom panel, a first top panel foldably connected to the first side panel, and a second top panel foldably connected to the second side panel. At least one container-receiving feature extends in at least the bottom panel. The at least one container-receiving feature can at least partially receive at least one container of the plurality of containers. At least one retention flap is foldably connected to the first top panel or the second top panel. The at least one retention flap engages at least a portion of a flange of at least one container.
Cutting method and unit in a packaging machine in extensible film
A cutting method in a packaging machine using extensible film includes feeding products, wound in a continuous packaging or in a bundle of products, to a cutting unit; cutting the continuous packaging into finished groups of products using a movable cutting device that advances with the packaging to be cut and makes a transversal cut along the perimeter of the packaging; and bringing the movable cutting device back and performing a new cutting step simultaneously in two points of the packaging spaced from each other, with two vertical sections cut at a first point and two horizontal sections are cut at a second point to create a finished packaging. The packaging machine includes a cutting device, a slide moving forward and backward, and a side cutting device and an upper and lower cutting device spaced apart and acting simultaneously on the packaging to cut in two points vertically and horizontally.
Carton with article protection insert
A carton for containing at least one article. The carton comprises a plurality of panels at least partially forming an interior of the carton. The plurality of panels comprises a top panel. The carton comprises an article protection flap foldably connected to at least one panel of the plurality of panels. The article protection flap is moveable between a first position that is substantially parallel to the top panel and a second position wherein the article protection flap is folded relative to the top panel. The at least one access feature in the top panel is for positioning the article protection flap from the first position to the second position.
METHOD FOR PACKAGING ARTICLES OR PIECE GOODS, STRETCH PACKAGES PRODUCED USING A METHOD OF THIS TYPE, ORDERED ASSEMBLY OF MULTIPLE STRETCH PACKAGES OF THIS TYPE, AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING ORDERED ASSEMBLIES OF THIS TYPE
Disclosed is a method for packaging articles, piece goods, or containers (12) and/or for grouping the articles, piece goods, or containers (12) to form bundles (32) by way of helically wrapping the articles, piece goods, or containers (12) and/or the groupings, which are transported in a conveying direction (18) in an article flow or piece goods flow (14), into multiple layers of an elastic film about a longitudinal axis extending through the article flow or piece goods flow (14), with the elastic film being applied under tension. A film packaging (30) for the articles, piece goods, or containers (12) that moves continuously in conveying direction (18) is formed thereof, which film packaging (30) is provided with perforations (42) in planes perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and/or is severed in planes perpendicular to the longitudinal axis between consecutive articles, piece goods, containers (12), or, as the case may be, between article pairs, piece good pairs, or container pairs, or between groups of a plurality of articles, piece goods, or containers (12) that are being conveyed next to each other, thereby forming bundles (32) that are conveyed one after the other.
