Apparatus and method for packaging slab form or cuboidal products
An apparatus and a method for packaging substantially plate-shaped or cuboid-shaped products in the food industry in a packaging material film, the apparatus having feeding devices for feeding products to a packaging station; guiding devices for feeding a blank of the packaging material film to the packaging station, wherein the product is inserted into the blank such that the packaging material film substantially wraps around the product; discharge devices for discharging the product from the packaging station in a wrapped state; and holding devices being movably configured and arranged to move with the product through the packaging station.
Sealed packaging for a confectionery product
Sealed packaging for a confectionery product Food product packaging comprising a food product (P) in a sealed wrapper of sheet material, comprising a first sheet (2) shaped in a receiving configuration adapted to contain the product, having an end edge in the shape of a flange (4) and a second sheet (6) adhered to said flange (4) to form a sealed wrapper surrounding the product (P), comprising a body of sheet material (8) in the shape of a cup with a base (10) and a side wall (12), where the base (10) is made to adhere to said second sheet (6) and the adhesive force between said base (10) and said second sheet (6) is greater than the adhesive force between the second sheet (6) and said flange (4), so that a force tending to separate said body from the packaging causes the detachment of said second sheet (6) from the flange (4) with the opening of the packaging.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FEEDING ARTICLES
A method for feeding articles including the steps of: feeding transversally, by means of a first conveyor, a succession of parallel rows of articles to a transfer area; moving longitudinally, using a second conveyor, a succession of rows of articles from the transfer area; sending at least one row of articles, coming from the first conveyor, to a storage unit whilst the row of articles is fed transversely, preferably perpendicularly, to the row; transferring the row of articles inside the storage unit, positioning said row of articles in a longitudinal direction at an outfeed section of the storage unit; extracting longitudinally portions in sequence of said row, portions formed preferably by one or more articles, from the storage unit feeding said portions of row to the transfer area.
PACKAGING A COMESTIBLE WITHOUT CONDITIONING
A method of manufacturing a comestible includes providing a comestible mass, forming said comestible mass into a comestible structure having a desired shape using a forming station, and applying a packaging material to a surface of said comestible structure while said comestible structure remains in contact with a portion of said forming station.
CHOCOLATE-BASED MATERIAL PUZZLES
A puzzle of chocolate-based material puzzle pieces is formed by providing a transfer sheet having a design of food-grade material on a first side of the transfer sheet and providing a puzzle piece template having passages shaped as pieces of the puzzle. The puzzle piece template is arranged on top of the first side of the transfer sheet. The passages of the puzzle piece template are filled with a chocolate-based material. After crystallization, the chocolate-based material in the passages of the puzzle piece template form the chocolate-based material puzzle pieces of the puzzle. The chocolate-based material puzzle pieces are removed from the template.
CONTAINER FOR COMESTIBLE PRODUCTS
A container for storing a plurality of food items having a base portion with a peripheral edge at a base peripheral edge plane. The base portion can include a plurality of cavities with each cavity having an interior wall surface extending up a first axis from a cavity base wall. At least a first portion of the interior wall surface terminates at a cavity rim formed where the first portion of the interior wall surface intersects with the peripheral edge surface, wherein an exterior cavity rim portion can be formed by the plurality of cavities. An interior support member formed within the base portion can extend up from the base portion to a first plane above the peripheral edge plane. A lid support member can extend down from the top surface of the lid portion and contact the top surface of the interior support member.
Device for packaging products and array of packaged products
A method for packaging products, such as candies, wherein the products are positioned on a first sheet which is continuously moved in a transport direction, wherein the products are covered by a second sheet which is continuously moved in the same transport direction and which is aligned substantially plane-parallel to the first sheet, and wherein the first and second sheets are sealed together near the outer edges of the individual products or grouped products by a sealing device, wherein the sealing device comprises sealing ribs extending substantially transversely to the transport direction on one side of the moving sheets, wherein said sealing ribs are being moved at the same speed as the sheets and the sealing ribs seal the first and second sheets together in between the moving products.
FLEXIBLE TUBULAR PACKAGE FOR EDIBLE PRODUCT
A squeezable, flexible tubular package for an edible product is compartmented to simultaneously hold a first edible product in one compartment separate from a second edible product in another juxtaposed compartment. The package includes an elongated enclosure defined by a pair of transparent, flexible film strips bonded to one another around the periphery thereof by a liquid tight seal; and a membrane situated between the film strips, bonded to the periphery of the film strips by a liquid tight seal, partitioning the enclosure into a pair of juxtaposed, liquid tight compartments. An extrudable, edible product is separately contained in each of the compartments. Apparatus for continuously and successively forming, filling and sealing articulated arrays of such packaged products is also disclosed.
FOOD PACKAGE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
The rancidity of prepackaged candied or sugared nuts, especially, sugar coated almonds, pecans and cashews, is inhibited by packaging the foodstuffs in a GRAS plastic material. This enables the nuts to be exposed to continuous heating or heating and cooling cycles such as within a conventional food warmer or exposure to heating lamps at temperatures up to about 200° F. for extended periods of up to about thirty (30) days while impeding the rancidity of the nut products. Suitable GRAS packaging materials include low-density polypropylene, low-density polyethylene, PET polyester laminates, and the like. The packaging can be in any geometric form. The sugar coated nuts are prepared by coating the nuts with a natural sweetener which may be sugar, corn syrup or like natural sweeteners.
Array or bandoleer of packaged products
The invention relates to a packaged product or group of products, such as a candy, wherein said product or group of products has an elongated form, wherein the package comprises at least one film which encloses said product or group of products, and wherein part of said film extends from at least one outer end of the product or group of products, and wherein said part of the film is bent away from the direction of the axis of the elongated product or group of products back towards a part of the film that surrounds the product and is bonded therewith. The invention also relates to an easy opening arrangement for packaged products, and to an array or bandoleer of products with reduced packaging material.
