System and method for mass spectrometry imaging
A mass spectrometry imaging system includes an ionization source located at a first location configured to produce ions from a surface of a sample at the first location; a mass spectrometer located at a second location configured to perform mass spectrometry analysis by analyzing the produced ions based on mass to charge ratio of the ions; and an ion transfer device configured to transfer the ions from the first location to the second location such that the ion transfer device includes a plurality of electrodes, the plurality of electrodes configured to be flexible or flexibly connected to each other, and the ion transfer device is configured to be flexible or re-configurable while transferring the ions.
Measuring device
A measuring device includes a measuring unit that measures the morphology of a convex portion, and a position fixing unit that includes an opening in which the convex portion is to be disposed and a fixing member which includes the opening at a center thereof and against which the periphery of the convex portion is to be pressed. The size of the opening of the position fixing unit is capable of being changed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPENING OF A TISSUE BARRIER IN PRIMATES
Systems and methods for cavitation-guided opening of a targeted region of tissue within a primate skull are provided. In one example, a method includes delivering one or more microbubbles to proximate the targeted region, applying an ultrasound beam, using a transducer, through the skull of the primate to the targeted region to open the tissue, transcranially acquiring acoustic emissions produced from an interaction between the one or more microbubbles and the tissue, and determining a cavitation spectrum from the acquired acoustic emissions.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR VISUALIZING SOUND AND HEARING ABILITY
A computer-implemented method of visualizing hearing ability, comprising acquiring, by one or more processors, audio data, generating, by the one or more processors, a hearing ability visualization with the audio data for display, wherein the hearing ability visualization includes a graphical element, a horizontal axis representing volume, and a vertical axis representing frequency, the graphical element being positioned relative to the horizontal axis such that volume is louder closer to the graphical element and quieter further from the graphical element.
INDUCTIVE PLETHYSMOGRAPHY VEST FOR A SMALL MAMMAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH A VEST
The present invention relates to an inductive plethysmography vest for a mammal having a mass less than 6 kg, comprising: a tube (10) made of elastic textile configured to surround the trunk of said mammal, said tube (10) extending along a longitudinal axis (X) parallel to the spinal column of said mammal; at least one inductive winding formed of a strand (20) of electrically conductive wire arranged in the form of wavelets along the circumference of said tube (10); said vest being characterised in that it comprises at least one strip (11) made of elastic textile, arranged along the circumference of the tube, defining a plurality of longitudinal loops (111), each wavelet being formed by the passage of the strand (20) of conductive wire successively in each loop (111).
BIOLOGICAL SAMPLE CAPTURING DEVICE
In one embodiment, the present invention provides a biological sample capture device comprising a body including a chamber, the chamber being arranged to sealingly hold a biological sample, a first valve in communication with the chamber, wherein the first valve allows a biological sample to enter the chamber, a second valve in communication with the chamber, wherein the second valve is arranged to expel air from the chamber upon a biological sample entering the chamber via the first valve.
PET FOOD RECOMMENDING DEVICE AND PET FOOD RECOMMENDING METHOD, SUPPLEMENT RECOMMENDING DEVICE AND SUPPLEMENT RECOMMENDING METHOD, AND INTESTINAL AGE CALCULATION FORMULA DETERMINING METHOD AND INTESTINAL AGE CALCULATION METHOD
A pet food recommending device and a pet food recommending method for recommending a food suitable for a pet are provided.
A pet food recommending device is provided, the device including a recommending means that recommends a food suitable for a pet, based on a result of a stool inspection of the pet and attribute information on the pet.
WAVELENGTH CONVERTER; AND LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE, MEDICAL SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, AND INSPECTION METHOD USING SAME
A wavelength converter includes a first phosphor activated with Cr.sup.3+; and a second phosphor activated with at least one ion of Ce.sup.3+ or Eu.sup.2+. A fluorescence spectrum of a fluorescence emitted by the second phosphor has a peak where a fluorescence intensity shows a maximum value in a wavelength range of 500 nm or more to less than 580 nm. The wavelength converter emits a fluorescence having a light component over an entire range of 500 nm or more to less than 580 nm. The wavelength converter emits a light having a spectrum in which a ratio of a minimum light emission intensity to a maximum light emission intensity is 40% or less in a wavelength range of 550 nm or more to 700 nm or less.
Acoustic Sensor System for Sensing Acoustic Information from Human and Animal Subjects
The present invention provides acoustic sensor systems and methods for detecting acoustic information from a human or animal subject. An acoustic sensor system of the disclosure herein detects acoustic information and generates an analog electric signal corresponding to the information that is highly accurate.
Pet evaluation and triage system
A system is provided to provide triage recommendations for animals. The system accesses a syndrome mapping of syndromes to complaints, each syndrome having a triage category. The system accesses a complaint mapping of complaints to symptoms. Each symptom for a complaint has a weight. The system receives indications of a current complaint and current symptoms of an animal. Each current symptom has a score. The system identifies the triage category based on a syndrome to which the current complaint and the current symptoms apply, factoring in the weights and the scores. The system provides a recommendation for the animal based on the identified triage category.
