METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING AN EDGE
The present invention relates to a method and a device for folding a foil material half-shell edge which protrudes from a surface of the packaging of a packaged food product, said half-shells receiving the food product. The half-shells have flanges, at least some regions of which lie one on top of the other and which form the protruding edge. The aim of the invention is to improve a quick and reliable method which can be carried out with little effort for improving the appearance of food products packaged in foil half-shells. This is achieved in that during a relative movement between a packaged food product and a die, an edge region of the die presses against the protruding edge of the foils, whereby the edge of the foils is at least partly folded to lie substantially flush on one of the half-shells. The invention further relates to a device which corresponds to the method.
Separable Container for Frozen Dessert Product
A separable container and related method for delivering predetermined portions of product contained within a container is provided. The container has a sidewall having a plurality of frangible sections disposed at predetermined distances along the height of the sidewall. A plurality of flexible dividers are interspersed with the product in the container, each of the flexible dividers being substantially aligned with a respective frangible section of the sidewall. Sidewall segments are separable from the container to expose a predetermined portion of the product contained therein, and the flexible dividers define a boundary between adjacent predetermined portions of product to facilitate separation of the exposed predetermined product portions from a remainder of product seated within the container sidewall.
Ice cream sandwich cartoner
An ice cream sandwich cartoner. The cartoner is configured to continue operation while clearing a jam.
Stick Spout Pouch and Cap Stick for Frozen Confections
A confection containing device that contains a confection consumed frozen. The device includes a stick-spout-pouch assembly, and a stick cap. The stick-spout-pouch assembly includes a latching portion integral with a stick portion, and a pouch bag attached to the latching portion. The stick cap attaches to the latching portion of the stick-spout-pouch assembly. The pouch bag contains a confection in a non-frozen state surrounding the stick portion of the stick-spout-pouch assembly. The pouch bag of the stick-spout-pouch assembly is sealed to the latching portion of the stick-spout-pouch assembly. The stick cap attaches to the latching portion of the stick-spout-pouch assembly by a sealed connection. Further, the pouch bag is filled with the confection in a liquid state through at least one opening on the stick-spout-pouch assembly. The opening is on the latching portion of the stick-spout-pouch assembly.
Ice cream sandwich apparatus
An ice cream sandwich apparatus for making and wrapping ice cream sandwiches. The ice cream sandwich apparatus includes a plurality of stations driven by servo motors.
PACKAGING SYSTEM FOR DELIVERING CONSISTENT SERVING SIZES OF HARD ICE CREAM
A package for a frozen food includes a plurality of spherically-shaped portions of hard ice cream. A first sealing member at least partially conforms to the shape of each spherical portion of the plurality of spherically-shaped portions. A second sealing member is adhered to the first sealing member. The first and second sealing members cooperatively form a plurality of storage cavities. Each storage cavity selectively encloses a corresponding spherical portion of the plurality of spherically-shaped portions, wherein each corresponding spherical portion includes a concave depression.
Methods of making and transporting frozen food compositions and re-using components utilized therein
A method of transporting one or more frozen food compositions can include providing a first container; dispensing at least one comestible ingredient into the first container, the dispensing of the at least one comestible ingredient into the first container is performed at a first location; positioning a first lid on the first container containing the at least one comestible ingredient; freezing the first container with the first lid thereon and the at least one comestible ingredient therein to form a first frozen food composition in the first container; attaching a first jacket to at least one of (a) the first container with the first frozen food composition therein or (b) the first lid on the first container with the first frozen food composition therein; and transporting the first frozen food composition to a second location by transporting the first container in the first jacket to the second location.
SERVO DRIVEN ICE CREAM SANDWICH ASSEMBLY AND WRAPPING MACHINE
An apparatus for the preparation of comestible-containing sandwich products comprises a sandwich product assembly station and corresponding means for the fabrication and assembly of a sandwich product in the vertical direction. The apparatus includes an extruder nozzle, wafer trays and corresponding components for the location of wafers on opposite sides of the extruded product, an indexing wheel for receiving the assembled sandwich product, and conveying means for conveying to a wrapping assembly and from there to a discharge end, wherein all of the components of the apparatus are mounted in cantilevered fashion on a vertical support or base member. Each element is powered individually by a servo motor and controlled by a controller allowing the variability of throughput for each station.
STACKING DEVICE FOR SIDE LOADER
1. Method of preparing confectionary products for packaging in a side-loader packaging machine, where the confectionary products are conveyed one by one on a first pocket conveyor, and where a picking robot is arranged for picking up a predetermined number of ice cream products from said first pocket conveyor and transferring the confectionary products to a bulking conveyor, said bulking conveyor having compartments suitable to accommodate a predetermined number of confectionary products in one or more layers in each compartment, where the picking robot can be in a first position above one or more compartments to be filled, and a second position above the pocket conveyor, where a) in a first step the picking robot, pick up a predetermined number of confectionary products corresponding to the number of confectionary products in a first layer from the pocket conveyor and thereafter positions the picking robot above one or more empty compartments on the bulking conveyor; b) in a further step determine that a further predetermined number of confectionary products corresponding to the total number of confectionary products needed for filling all consecutive layers are available on the pocket conveyor, ready to be picked up; c) releases the picked up confectionary products into the one or more compartment, and d) the picking robot moves to pick up the further predetermined number of confectionary products from the pocket conveyor, and e) transfers the further predetermined number of products to the compartment creating a further layer of confectionary products, and f) repeat steps d) and e)) until the desired number of layers are arranged in the compartment, whereafter g) repeat steps a) to f).
