Package for dairy products, sheet, multi-layer film and method associated
A package for dairy products, in particular solid or semi-solid dairy products, including a bag provided with at least one pair of lateral walls reciprocally joined by means of first welding lines and at least one bottom wall, so as to define a housing compartment. A dairy product is housed in the compartment defined inside the bag. The bag includes second welding lines made in correspondence with top parts of the bag and positioned on opposite sides of the bottom wall. The second welding lines are disposed diagonally with respect to the first welding lines and with respect to the bottom wall and configured and oriented so as to progressively narrow the housing compartment toward the bottom wall of the bag. The dairy product includes at least a central support zone on the bottom wall and the bag includes at least lateral support zones defined by the opposite top parts.
System and adaptive method of canning tuna
A system and adaptive method of canning tuna, the system having a tuna canning machine (2) and an optimization unit (3) configured to collect a production data history (5) formed by a plurality of past production data (6) captured by at least one machine of training tuna canning (7) during the tuna canning process in different past productions; receive input parameters (8) from a new production of the tuna canning machine (2); establish a target function (13) for the new production of the tuna canning machine (2); and calculate, from the production data history (5), optimal operating parameters (9) for the new production by optimizing the target function (13). The tuna canning machine (2) is configured to execute the canning of tuna in the new production based on the optimal operating parameters (9).
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR VACUUMIZING AND SEALING A PACKAGE
An apparatus for vacuumizing and sealing a package includes a plurality of platens and vacuum chambers, each chamber adapted to mate with a dedicated one of the platens; a conveying system for conveying the platens and chambers along a generally angular path having a single axis of rotation; an automated loading assembly having a linear component and configured to load a package onto each of the platens; an automated unloading assembly having a linear portion and configured to unload a vacuumized, sealed package from each loaded platen onto an outfeed conveyor; and a vacuumizing/sealing system configured to cause relative movement of each chamber/platen pair, along a portion of the angular path, to form therebetween an air-tight enclosure accommodating the package and effect vacuumization and sealing of the package.
PACKAGED PRESLICED READY-TO-EAT MEAT PRODUCTS AND METHODS THEREOF
Sliced ready-to-eat meat are provided by slicing ready-to-eat meat, disposing the meat into a flexible pouch with a modified atmosphere, and sealing the flexible pouch containing the meat. The flexible pouch is formed from material having: i) a thickness of from about 0.2 mils to about 2 mils; ii) an MVTR of about 1.2 g/100 in.sup.2/24 Hrs @ 100° F., 90% RH, 1 atm or less; iii) an 02 Gas Transmission Rate of about 0.8 cc/100 sqin/day or less at 1 atmosphere, 0% relative humidity and 73° F. or less; and iv) a clarity of about 80% or greater.
NETTING MACHINE WITH MULTIPLE NETTING CHUTE EXCHANGE SYSTEM
A packaging machine 20 includes a feeding system 22 for delivering and positioning work products, in registry with a chute system 28 as well as in registry with a pushing system 26 for pushing the work products through a stuffing tube 24 of the chute system 28. The chute system 28 also includes a plurality of individual chute assemblies 30, each constructed with an elongate chute 32 positionable in registry with the stuffing tube 24 for receiving the food products from the stuffing tube and guiding the work product into packaging material 34 which has been shined over the elongate chute. The plurality of chute assemblies 30 are mounted on a transverse mounting structure 44 to slide along the mounting structure to sequentially position chute assemblies, loaded with packaging material, in alignment with the stuffing tube 24 to receive the work products. Additional chute assemblies 30 are positionable on either side of the chute assembly in use.

Antimicrobial packaging system
Implementations of the present invention extend to sanitary systems, methods, and devices configured to package food items with an even coating of an accurate amount of sanitizing agent, such as an antimicrobial agent. In one implementation, an exemplary system comprises a combination of air nozzles, anti-bacterial spray nozzles or spray headers, metering valves, and timers to achieve uniform distribution of an antimicrobial solution into a product package, and subsequently provide a uniform distribution of the antimicrobial solution to the food item.
Food product handling device, system, and related methods
A food product handling device is provided. The food product handling device can include a movable loading head having a plurality of rails and a vacuum system operatively associated with the head. In addition, a plurality of suction devices carried by the head and configured to pick up and transport a food product as the head is moved can be provided. A plurality of mounting blocks can be slidably coupled to the rails where at least one suction device is coupled to each mounting block. An actuating device can be operatively associated with the mounting blocks such that each mounting block is configured to slide between a first position and a second position.
Manufacturing process for packaged pet food
Pet food bags, and methods of making the same, contain a seal that resists air exchange more than conventional bags thereby protecting nutritional ingredients that are susceptible to oxidation.
