SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DIAGNOSING SLEEP
Systems and methods for sleep stage determination are disclosed. Example systems disclosed herein includes a complexity module operable to measure the complexity of regularities in an EEG channel, and a stager operable to output at least one corresponding sleep stage. Some example systems also include monitoring a subject, and determine the subject may have impairment, Alzheimer's disease, or anesthesia problem that is associated with sleep staging problem.
HIGH RESOLUTION INTRAVITAL IMAGING AND USES THEREOF
Methods and apparatus are provided for high resolution intravital imaging and for chronic optical imaging of tissues such as lung.
SECOND NEAR-INFRARED WINDOW / FIRST NEAR-INFRARED WINDOW DUAL-MODE FLUORESCENCE TOMOGRAPHY SYSTEM AND METHOD
A second near-infrared window/first near-infrared window dual-mode fluorescence tomography system having a lighting module, an excitation module, a second near-infrared window collection module, a first near-infrared window collection module, a CT imaging module and a central control module. The central control module is configured to reconstruct second near-infrared window three-dimensional and tomographic images and first near-infrared window three-dimensional and tomographic images based on the white light images, the second near-infrared window fluorescent images, the first near-infrared window fluorescent images, and the CT images. The reconstructed three-dimensional space tumor signal has depth characteristics, which is closer to the real distribution of tumors, such that the reconstruction position is more accurate. The three-dimensional shape of the tumor is displayed intuitively and clearly at any angle with the usage of image display unit.
LIQUID ADMINISTRATION TOOL
Provided is a device that includes: a hollow needle; a fixing part that is fixed on the outer periphery of the proximal end of the needle; a connecting pipe to be attached to the protruding part that protrudes from the fixing part to the side thereof that is opposite to the needle, and that can be communicated with the needle, wherein the pipe is configured such that the distal end of the syringe can be fitted to the pipe from the side thereof that is opposite to the needle; and a holding part that protrudes outward from the outer peripheral surface of the fixing part. The connecting pipe is configured such that a hematocrit tube can be fit to the inside of the pipe from the side thereof that is opposite to the needle.
Apparatus and Method for Capturing Neural Recordings
The present disclosure provides a three-dimensional micro-electrode that comprises an electrically conductive, elongate body with: a base that is electrically connectible to a recording system; a tip that is opposite the base and that is configured to establish electrical communication with an excitable cellular-network or a cell therein; and an elongate portion between the base and the tip. The elongate portion is covered with at least one layer of an electrical-insulator coating that extends from the base to proximal the tip. The present disclosure also provides a micro-electrode array comprising at least two three-dimensional micro-electrodes that are electrically connective to at least one recording system. The present disclosure also provides a method of making and using a three-dimensional micro-electrode and an array that comprises three-dimensional micro-electrodes.
METHOD FOR ESTIMATING THERAPEUTIC EFFICACY
Disclosed herein is a method including: acquiring one or more pieces of information including information about expression status of a specific biomarker in a lesion collected from a human by using a laboratory animal transplanted with the lesion; and using the information to estimate therapeutic efficacy through analysis
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSESSING PHYSIOLOGICAL STATE
A system for assessing the physiological state of a subject, comprising: a task delivery module configured to communicate to a subject at least two sets of information, each set of information relating to a cognitive task requiring a spoken response from the subject; a response detection module configured to record the respective spoken responses from the subject as an audio signal, the response detection module comprising a microphone; an analysis module configured to analyze the audio signals corresponding to the respective spoken responses recorded by the response detection module to determine from the respective spoken responses one or more characteristics indicative of the physiological state of the subject, compare said characteristics from the respective spoken responses, and determine the physiological state of the subject based on said comparison.
HIGH RESOLUTION INTRAVITAL IMAGING AND USES THEREOF
Methods and apparatus are provided for high resolution intravital imaging and for chronic optical imaging of tissues such as lung.
Fractional anisotropy in MRI as an indicator of reversible pathology
The present invention concerns a method for determining whether brain regions of interest having reversible or irreversible pathology. The method includes acquiring over a predetermined period of time a plurality of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images for each brain region of interest; analyzing the MRI images to obtain quantitative measurements of the fractional anisotropy (FA) for each brain region of interest and determining that brain regions of interest have reversible pathology when the measured FA increases and then decreases over the predetermined period of time.
GPCRs in Cancer-Associated Fibroblasts
Methods and biomarker panels for detecting and treating pancreatic disease, including pancreatic cancer, are provided in association with determining and inhibiting expression levels of certain GPCRs, including GPR68, in particular in pancreatic cancer associated fibroblasts.
