COMPRESSED GAS CANISTER OPENER
This invention describes a device which attaches to the threaded base connector of a whipped-cream dispenser and which allows for a simple and quick charging of said dispenser using disposable compressed gas canisters. This device allows for safe charging of the dispenser and employs multiple directions of lever operation/movement to provide this safety.
Carbon dioxide shampoo apparatus and method of use thereof
The invention comprises a shampoo apparatus and method of use thereof, comprising: putting a shampoo and carbon dioxide into a container, at least a portion of the carbon dioxide comprising at least one of a solid form and a liquid form; sealing the container; warming the carbon dioxide by at least fifty degrees Fahrenheit to form a carbon dioxide gas, the carbon dioxide gas at least partially dissolved in the shampoo, the carbon dioxide gas comprising a concentration of one-half to ten percent of the shampoo by mass; and pressurizing the container to a pressure exceeding sixty pounds per square inch, such as where a headspace forms in the container, the headspace comprising the carbon dioxide at a concentration greater than one thousand parts per million, where the pressurized carbon dioxide yields a propulsive force, a foam expansion function, and a cleaning function.
A PROPELLANT FILLING APPARATUS
A propellant filling apparatus (10) comprising a filling booth (11) for receiving within it one or more containers for filling with a propellant; a propellant inlet (12) to the filling booth (11) that is capable of supplying propellant into one or more containers within the filling booth (11) from a propellant supply; an inert gas inlet (13) supplying inert gas from an inert gas supply (14) into the filling booth (11), a discharge outlet (16) from the filling booth (11); an extraction fan (17) that is capable of adjusting its fan speed to maintain the pressure of gas in the filling booth (11) to be lower than atmospheric pressure; and an oxygen detector (27) that is capable of detecting levels of oxygen in the filling booth (11) and triggering circulation of inert gas in the filling booth (11) when the level of oxygen in the filling booth (11) falls below an oxygen threshold level.
DIVERGENTLY VENTED AEROSOL DISPENSER OUTER CONTAINER THEREFOR AND PREFORM THEREFOR
An aerosol dispenser, an outer container for an aerosol dispenser and a preform for an outer container. The aerosol dispenser, outer container and preform each have a neck, which in turn has a crimp ring, to receive a valve cup clinched thereto. The crimp ring has slots which act as vents therethrough. The vents may be exposed to pressurized propellant and product due to deformation of the neck during undue internal pressurization. The cross section of the vents diverge in the downward direction to provide both flow area and for product and propellant and adequate area for the valve cup to be corrugatedly clinched to the crimp ring.
METHOD OF PREPARING A PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION
The present disclosure provides a method of preparing a pharmaceutical composition. The method includes transferring a predetermined quantity of an excipient mixture from a second vessel to a first vessel. The excipient mixture transferred from the second vessel includes a liquid-state second quantity of a hydrofluoroalkane propellant and a first solubilized excipient comprising a low-molecular weight poly(ethylene oxide) polymer. The method further includes contacting at least one pharmaceutically-active compound with the excipient mixture under conditions that facilitate forming an intermixture comprising the propellant, the polymer, and the compound. Before transferring the excipient mixture, the first vessel contains a vapor-phase first quantity of the hydrofluoroalkane propellant and an effective amount of the at least one pharmaceutically-active compound.
PRESSURIZED DISPENSING SYSTEM INCLUDING A PLASTIC BOTTLE AND PROCESS OF MINIMIZING THE INFORMATION OF STRESS CRACKS IN A PLASTIC BOTTLE
A pressurized dispensing system including a plastic bottle and a method of minimizing the formation of stress cracks in a plastic bottle that is a part of a pressurized dispensing system. In a method of manufacturing the pressurized dispensing system, a plastic bottle is filled with a liquid, a valve is crimped onto the plastic bottle, and the plastic bottle is filled with gas so as to pressurize the plastic bottle. The plastic bottle is supported only in the finish region throughout the liquid filling, valve crimping, and gas filling steps. The filled and pressurized plastic bottle is substantially free of stress cracks.
Filling head injector for aerosol can with protective cover
A filling head gun assembly has a housing; a handle assembly connected to the housing; a filling head attached to the housing; and a plunger. The plunger extends through an opening of the housing and an activator reservoir attached to the plunger. The reservoir is moved into position to contact the filling head via the plunger to feed pressurized activator through the filling head to an aerosol can. A cover is releasably attached to an end of the filling head which provides a seal around the filling head.
AEROSOL DISPENSER WITH INTEGRAL VENT OUTER CONTAINER THEREFOR AND PREFORM THEREFOR
The vents to relieve propellant and product therethrough in the event of overpressurization.
REFILL STATION FOR A DISPENSER CAN WITH A SCALE FOR DETERMINING A WEIGHT INFORMATION OF THE DISPENSER CAN AT A RECEIVING DEVICE
Refill station comprising a receiving device for receiving a dispenser can which is to be refilled with an active substance, a scale for capturing a weight information which is related to the dispenser can at the receiving device prior to a refill process and/or during a refill process, and a control unit which is configured for controlling a refill of the dispenser can with the active substance based on the determined weight information.
REFILLING STATION FOR DISPENSER CAN WITH TRANSPONDER READER AND DISPENSER CAN TRANSPONDER
A refilling station comprises a receiving device for receiving a dispenser can to be refilled with an active ingredient, a transponder reader for selectively reading dispenser can-related data of a dispenser can transponder attached to the dispenser can when the dispenser can is attached to the receiving device, and a control device for controlling refilling of the dispenser can with the active ingredient based on the read dispenser can data, when the dispenser can is attached to the receiving device.
