Seal and Cut Assembly for Heat Sealing Machine
A heat sealing machine and method form blister packages. A backing material web extends between a nesting tray assembly and a seal and cut tooling assembly and a blister tray is resident within a blister nest of the nesting tray assembly. The backing material web is clamped between a clamping gasket support shoulder of the nesting tray assembly and a clamping shoulder of the seal and cut tooling assembly, and between a sealing gasket support shoulder of the nesting tray assembly and a heat seal shoulder of a heater assembly. A knife of the seal and cut tooling assembly extends between the clamping gasket support shoulder and the sealing gasket support shoulder to cut a backing sheet from the backing material web that is heat sealed to an attachment surface of the blister tray to form the blister package.
Method for controlling the position of a material web edge
A packaging machine and a method for controlling the position of a lower and/or upper material web on a packaging machine. A lower material web is unwound from a supply roll and transported intermittently or continuously along the packaging machine. Packaging recesses are optionally formed in the lower material web in a forming station, and the lower material web, preferably the packaging recesses, are then filled with products to be packaged. An upper material web is then sealed to the lower material web in a sealing station, the lower and upper material web each being unwound from a supply roll.

A packaging machine and a method for controlling the position of a lower and/or upper material web on a packaging machine. A lower material web is unwound from a supply roll and transported intermittently or continuously along the packaging machine. Packaging recesses are optionally formed in the lower material web in a forming station, and the lower material web, preferably the packaging recesses, are then filled with products to be packaged. An upper material web is then sealed to the lower material web in a sealing station, the lower and upper material web each being unwound from a supply roll.
Foam composition for a disposable single use applicator assembly with a chemical composition
The applicator assembly delivers a cosmetic, health, or hygiene chemical composition in an active state to the user for a disposable single use. The applicator assembly includes a wrapper, and an insert. The insert holds the chemical composition, and the insert is made of a foam composition compatible with the chemical composition. The system and method for manufacturing the assembly is a web conversion process for the chemical composition and foam composition of the assembly. The insert body of the assembly is made of a foam composition compatible with the cosmetic or other hygiene or medical treatment of the chemical composition and the manufacturing process. The foam composition includes a reaction product of water, clay, polyacrylate, silane, methanol, ethylenediamine, and polyurethane prepolymer.
A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PRINTING
A printing station for use in a packaging material manufacturing system is provided. The printing station comprises a printing unit being configured to provide a print at a pre-set position on the packaging material, a detecting unit arranged downstream the printing unit and configured to determine the actual lateral distance between a reference position and the provided print, and a control unit being configured to store a desired lateral distance between the print and the reference position, and to adjust the pre-set position of a subsequent print based on a comparison between a desired lateral distance and the actual lateral distance.
A VALVE FOR PROVIDING PULSES OF AIR
A valve for providing pulses of aseptic air to a web of packaging material is provided. The valve comprises a rotatable valve shaft having an inlet portion with a circular cross-section, wherein the inlet portion is provided with a radial slot being connected to an axial cavity of the valve shaft. The valve further comprises a valve member comprising a curved end being adapted to fit with an exterior surface of the inlet portion of the valve shaft during rotation of the valve shaft, and a fluid channel extending through the valve member such that when the valve shaft is rotated to a position where the radial slot of the inlet portion is aligned with the fluid channel of the valve member, air can flow through the valve via the valve member and the valve shaft.
Film securing apparatus and method
Systems, apparatuses, and methods to secure a film to a container are provided. An example sealing device utilizes film from a supply of film to seal a lid onto a container. Various sizes of containers are usable with some example sealing devices. Additional features, such as printing on the film and piercing the film for ventilation and/or insertion of a straw are contemplated. One or more markings along the film may be utilized for confirming that an approved film has been loaded into the sealing device. In response, various components or features of the sealing device may be appropriately enabled or disabled. The one or more markings may also be utilized to convey data to the sealing device regarding the installed film, such as for improved operation thereof.
Film securing apparatus and method
Systems, apparatuses, and methods to secure a film to a container are provided. An example sealing device utilizes film from a supply of film to seal a lid onto a container. Various sizes of containers are usable with some example sealing devices. Additional features, such as printing on the film and piercing the film for ventilation and/or insertion of a straw are contemplated. CHEMICAL COMPOSITION FOR A DISPOSABLE SINGLE USE APPLICATOR ASSEMBLY
The applicator assembly delivers a cosmetic, health, or hygiene chemical composition in an active state to the user for a disposable single use. The applicator assembly includes a wrapper, and an insert. The insert holds the chemical composition, and the insert is made of a foam composition compatible with the chemical composition. The system and method for manufacturing the assembly is a web conversion process for the chemical composition and foam composition of the assembly. The chemical composition can be a cosmetic or other hygiene or medical treatment. The chemical composition includes amorphous silica, a white adhesive agent, a coloring agent, and an aromatic preservative agent.
Method and Device for Attaching Carrying Handles to Packaging Means or Groups of Packaging Means
A handle applicator includes controller that receives signals concerning marks on an endless band. The controller controls a contact body to be between a release position, in which a handle applicator is freely driven and a drawing position, in which the contact body contacts the endless band of material prior to its being cut to form the handle. The contact body moves along a continuum of positions between the release position and the drawing position based on actual position data indicative of actual positions of position markings on the handle.
