APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR SHAPING A BOX BY WRAPPING-AROUND
An apparatus for shaping a box by wrapping-around includes a shaping device with a carousel, on which shaping supports are circulated along a closed circular trajectory. A portion of the trajectory constitutes a box shaping path. The carousel rotates around a vertical axis of rotation with a continuous motion. The shaping supports are adapted to receive products to be packaged. The apparatus also includes a dispenser device of blanks intended to be wrapped around to contain the products to be packaged. The apparatus includes a transfer device of blanks, apt to sequentially pick-up the blanks and insert them, one at a time, into the shaping path. A process for shaping boxes by wrapping-around is also described.
METHOD FOR PACKAGING ARTICLES IN BOXES AND PACKAGING DEVICE OPERATING ACCORDING TO SUCH A METHOD
A method for packaging articles in a box includes the steps of depositing at least one article in a mandrel, and folding a blank around the mandrel in correspondence with at least one folding line of the blank. The blank is folded along the folding line abutting the folding line and an edge of the mandrel only for a first part of the folding line, while a second part of the folding line remains not abutted by the mandrel.

Packaging machine
A packaging machine includes a pair of grips holding vicinities of two sides of a bag mouth of a packaging bag, a moving body to intermittently moving the paired grips every one of a plurality of packaging steps, and a paper packaging bag sealing device provided in a section where a sealing step is carried out, for sealing a paper packaging bag to which a sealing adhesive agent has been applied.
PACKAGING UNIT FOR PACKAGING ARTICLES IN BOXES AND METHOD FOR PACKAGING ARTICLES IN BOXES
A packaging unit for packaging articles in boxes, including a mandrel, a movement device, a feeding device, a folding device, and an actuation device. The mandrel is configured to accommodate at least one of said articles inside it. The movement device is configured to move said mandrel along a movement trajectory at a desired movement speed. The feeding device is configured to feed at least one blank towards said mandrel along a feeding trajectory which intersects said movement trajectory. The folding device is intended to abut said blank and is configured to cooperate with said mandrel to fold said blank around said mandrel when said blank is positioned between said mandrel and said folding device to form one of said boxes. The actuation device is configured to displace said folding device along at least one folding stroke with an accompanying speed having at least one accompanying component with the same direction as the movement speed of the mandrel and modulus lower than the movement modulus in said folding stroke.
Folding unit for pourable food product packaging machines
A folding unit for producing packages of pourable food products from sealed packs having each a main portion and opposite end portions arranged on opposite sides of the main portion; each pack comprises a fin and a pair of flaps projecting laterally from main portion; a first movable conveying member fed with a plurality of packs and which feeds the pack along a forming path; and folder which interacts with each pack along forming path to fold relative first end fin onto the portion; the folder comprising: a first member movable along forming path together with the conveying member and defining a slot receiving, in use, end fin; and a second member movable relative to first member between a first position in which it engages at least partially slot, so as to fold end fin onto a relative end portion, and a second position in which it leaves free slot.

Overhead packaging machine with articulating lugs
An overhead packaging machine with articulating lugs is mountable along a product packaging system for the application of cartons such as wrap-style cartons about sets or groups of products. The overhead packaging machine includes a lug conveyor having a series of articulating lug assemblies mounted thereto and which are moved along a path of travel for engaging the groups of products with their cartons applied thereto. Each of the articulating lug assemblies includes a pair of articulating lugs mounted to a carriage, which articulating lugs are moveable into engaging positions for engaging the cartons applied to the groups of products as the groups of products are moved along their path of travel for folding and locking of the cartons thereabout. After the cartons have been applied and secured about their product groups, the articulating lugs can be moved to non-engaging positions, out of engagement with the cartons and/or product groups as the packaged product groups are moved away from the overhead packaging machine, while the articulating lug assemblies can be moved along a return path of travel for engaging a next product group.
