FILM SECURING APPARATUS AND METHOD
Systems, apparatuses, and methods to secure a film to a container are provided. An example sealing device utilizes film from a supply of film to seal a lid onto a container. Various sizes of containers are usable with some example sealing devices. Additional features, such as printing on the film and piercing the film for ventilation and/or insertion of a straw are contemplated. One or more markings along the film may be utilized for confirming that an approved film has been loaded into the sealing device. In response, various components or features of the sealing device may be appropriately enabled or disabled. The one or more markings may also be utilized to convey data to the sealing device regarding the installed film, such as for improved operation thereof.

Random case sealer
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a random case sealer including a pneumatically-controlled top-head-actuating assembly configured to vary the speed of the top-head assembly when ascending (to make room for the case beneath the top-head assembly) and when descending onto the case (to engage the top surface of the case during sealing). The case sealer includes a pressure sensor that monitors the pressure of gas incoming from a gas source delivered to the top-head-actuating assembly via one or more valves. A controller controls the open level and/or the open time of the valves based on the pressure of the incoming gas to ensure the top-head-actuating assembly operates as desired regardless of whether the pressure of the incoming gas is equal to, below, or above a desired pressure. These features result in increased throughput compared to prior art random case sealers without requiring stronger cases or more protective dunnage.

Method for manufacturing cardboard sheet using prediction model of sheet warpage with deletion of prescribed information
A cardboard sheet manufacturing system includes an information editing unit storing production state information, operation state information, and warping state information as acquisition information in a storage unit, the information editing unit deleting, in a case where the stored acquisition information includes prescribed information to be deleted, the information to be deleted from the storage unit and outputting the acquisition information stored in the storage unit as editing information. The system also includes an editing information storage unit storing the editing information output from the information editing unit, a prediction model calculation unit calculating a prediction model of the warping state based on the editing information stored in the editing information storage unit; and a control table update unit updating a target value of a control value of a control element in the cardboard sheet manufacturing apparatus, based on the prediction model.
PHARMACEUTICAL PACKAGING APPARATUS, METHOD OF DETERMINING REMAINING QUANTITY OF PHARMACEUTICAL PACKAGING PAPER AND PHARMACEUTICAL PACKAGING PAPER ROLL
Medicine packaging apparatuses and methods for accurately determining a remaining sheet amount of a medicine packaging sheet are described. The apparatus includes: a roll support section to which a core tube of a medicine packaging sheet roll is attached; a sensor disposed in the roll support section for outputting a count value according to a rotation amount; a wireless reader-writer unit for writing information to a core tube IC tag and reading said information; an information generation section for generating information to be written to the core tube IC tag; a remaining sheet amount estimation section for estimating a current amount of remaining sheet based on the information and dimensional information of the core tube; and a controller which selectively performs an operation if a reference time-point count value is not yet written to the core tube IC tag and another operation if the count value is already written thereto.
CONTAINER SEALING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF SEALING
There is provided container sealing apparatuses and methods for sealing openings of containers with film. The apparatuses comprise: a pressing member configured to press a film into contact with a container; and a sealing beam source configured to emit one or more sealing beams, each of said sealing beams being incident on the container and/or the film, each of said sealing beams being incident local to a respective part of the pressing member which engages the container so as to join the film to the container; the container sealing apparatus being configured to move the container relative to the pressing member, such that a region of the container which is engaged by the pressing member changes.
