MULTIPLE INSPECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD THAT INSPECTS DIFFERENT MEDICATIONS
A multiple inspection system and method that inspects packages filled with at least two different medications that are to be consumed by a patient is described. The method includes filling each package with the at least two different medications. A package that is to be inspected is selected by a process control module. A first automated inspection examines the different medications with a first measurement device. A first measurement result is generated. A first automated inspection result is generated by comparing a first expected inspection value with the first measurement result. A second automated inspection having a second measurement device generates a second measurement result. A second automated inspection result is generated by comparing a second expected inspection value with the second measurement result. An analytical module then proceeds to compare the first automated inspection result and the second automated inspection result.

Method of converting sheet material into a custom packaging template
Systems, methods, and apparatus for converting a sheet material into packaging templates can include a converting machine that performs conversion functions, such as cutting, creasing, and scoring, on the sheet material. Items to be packed into boxes formed of the packaging templates can be used as the pattern for determining the location of performance of the conversion functions on the sheet material. Accordingly, no intermediate measuring of the items may be required prior to performance of the conversion functions. Instead, longheads can be positioned adjacent to opposing sides of the items and cross heads can be advanced inward to the positioned longheads.

Method and apparatus for packaging respiring produce
A method of manufacturing a modified atmosphere package is provided which comprises the steps of: providing a portion of packaging material; providing a portion of produce; forming, from the portion of packaging material and the portion of produce, a closed package defining a package volume and containing in the package volume the portion of produce and a modified atmosphere. The modified atmosphere is modified with respect to the ambient atmosphere. The method comprises providing the modified atmosphere in the package volume by providing a gas mixture of at least one atmosphere modification gas and pressurised air in the package volume. An associated apparatus is also provided.

Food Processing System, Apparatus For Testing A Foreign Object Sensor And A Method For Operating The Food Processing System
A food processing system is disclosed. The food processing system includes a food scaling portion, a food bagging portion and a chute portion connecting the food scaling portion to the food bagging portion. The food processing system also includes a foreign object sensor arranged about the chute portion. The foreign object sensor and the chute portion cooperatively form a foreign object sensing zone within a passage formed by the chute portion that extends along a portion of a length of the chute portion. The food processing system also includes at least one sensor testing conduit extending through one or both of the food scaling portion and the chute portion. An exit opening of the at least one sensor testing conduit is arranged in an opposing relationship with respect to the foreign object sensing zone. A foreign object sensor apparatus for detecting non-foodstuff material is also disclosed. A method is also disclosed.
A METHOD AND MACHINE FOR REALISING A BOX STARTING FROM A CARDBOARD BLANK AND FOR BOXING A PLURALITY OF ARTICLES WITH THE BOX
Plural articles are arranged in a reusable crate. A cardboard blank is selected in accordance with the volume of the arranged articles. The blank has a first and a second longitudinal score line defining a main portion and a first, a second, a third and a fourth lateral portion, the blank also having a first, a second, a third and a fourth incision that subdivide auxiliary portions into first parts and second parts. The blank and the reusable crate are reciprocally positioned, the bottom of the reusable crate then opened to release the articles onto the blank. The first, second, third and fourth lateral portions are folded towards the articles, with the respective first parts and second parts of the auxiliary portions folding one on another to form respective flaps abutting the group of articles.

MULTIPURPOSE CASHBAG LEVEL AND BANKNOTE PRESENCE IN ESCROW DETECTOR
This disclosure relates to a cashbag sealing system. The system comprises a banknote transport mechanism operable to transport a banknote to a storing unit. The storing unit includes a banknote storing bag detachably coupled to the storing unit, and an escrow plate operable to escrow the banknote before the banknote transported to the storing unit is stored in the banknote storing bag, wherein the escrow plate is operable to move from a horizontally extending hold position to a downwardly or obliquely downwardly extending release position, and wherein the banknote transported to the storing unit is escrowed on the escrow plate when the escrow plate is located at the hold position. The system further comprises a sensor configured to detect a presence of the banknote on the escrow plate, and measure a level of banknotes in the banknote storing bag.
