3-D printed packaging
Items may be packaged for shipping or storage using additive manufacturing techniques, also known as three dimensional (3-D) printing. Packages made by such processes may be referred to as 3-D printed packages. A packaging system may include a 3-D printer and a computing device communicatively coupled to the 3-D printer. The computing device may obtain a packaging model describing a package for one or more items. A print module of the computing device may include instructions to print the package at least partially about the item(s) according to the packaging model. The configuration of a 3-D printed package may be based at least in part on one or more other packages. A 3-D printed package may include multiple separable compartments. A unit of 3-D printed packages may include multiple separable packages.
PACKAGING SYSTEM FOR DELIVERING CONSISTENT SERVING SIZES OF HARD ICE CREAM
A package for a frozen food includes a plurality of spherically-shaped portions of hard ice cream. A first sealing member at least partially conforms to the shape of each spherical portion of the plurality of spherically-shaped portions. A second sealing member is adhered to the first sealing member. The first and second sealing members cooperatively form a plurality of storage cavities. Each storage cavity selectively encloses a corresponding spherical portion of the plurality of spherically-shaped portions, wherein each corresponding spherical portion includes a concave depression.
Sheet for use in pill packages, and pouch formed from a sheet
The disclosure relates to a sheet, a pouch containing pills made of a sheet material and a web of multiple of said pouches. The disclosure also relates to a method for manufacturing said web which makes use of said sheet. The pouches allow for optimal visibility of information printed on the pouches as well as optimal visibility of the pills for inspection purposes.
FRUIT IN A BUBBLE WRAP MAT
A package for compartmentalized preservation of harvested fruit or vegetables and methods are disclosed. The package may include a first flexible polymer film, comprising integral molded or vacuum formed cups configured to hold a fruit or vegetable, wherein the integral molded or vacuum formed cups can be collapsed into a plane of the first polymer film or extended from the first polymer film; and a second flexible polymer film configured to overlay the first polymer film. In some embodiments, the cups containing the fruit or vegetable may be inflated and sealed to form protective bubbles.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SACHETS FILLED WITH LIQUID OR PASTY FILLING MATERIAL
The disclosure relates to a device and a method for producing sachets filled with liquid or pasty filling material, in particular food products. The device has a coextrusion device for coextruding a strand of a wrapping material filled with the filling material and opposing circulating division plungers between which the strand can be transported and which can transport the filling material, when they move towards each other on their orbital path, strip off the wrapping material at a division point and can press the wrapping material to be flat at the division point to form a sachet.
Packaging apparatus for small piece goods and method for producing a blister tube comprising a plurality of blister bags
A packaging apparatus for small piece goods, the use of the packaging apparatus, and a method for producing a blister tube are provided. The packaging apparatus includes a packaging material guiding device for providing a shaped packaging material web suitable for receiving small piece goods, a longitudinal joining device which is arranged downstream of the packaging material guiding device and a transverse joining device which is arranged downstream of the packaging material guiding device. The transverse joining device joins the shaped packaging material web together at predetermined intervals transversely to the direction of travel to form a transverse joining area. The transverse joining device includes two joiners, a first joiner having a plurality of embossers that are individually movable transversely to the direction of travel and are arranged so that they can be extended from the first joiner and retracted into the first joiner.
3-D PRINTED PACKAGE CUSTOMIZATION
Items may be packaged for shipping or storage using additive manufacturing techniques, also known as three dimensional (3-D) printing. Packages made by such processes may be referred to as 3-D printed packages. The 3-D printed packages may be customized based on one or more items contained in the package, a recipient of the package, a sender of the package, and/or a destination location of the package. The customizations may include two-dimensional and/or three-dimensional customizations on an interior and/or exterior of the 3-D printed packages.
CONTAINER FOR STORAGE OF A MEDICAMENT
Various embodiments are described for a container for storage of a medicament, the container comprising a surface having at least a cavity configured to store at least one dose of the medicament; and a covering disposed over at least the cavity of the surface and comprising at least two adjacent edges and a set of perforations disposed on the covering and spaced apart from the at least two adjacent edges of the covering. A container comprising a sheet of separable units and methods for use are described.
PACKAGES WITH INDIVIDUALLY SEALED COMPARTMENTS
A package having a plurality of individually sealed compartments is described. Each compartment contains a food product in an interior defined between a back panel sealed to a front panel about the interior. The front panel includes a flap detachable from adjacent portions of the front panel along a flap line of weakness to form an access opening configured to permit removal of the food product from the interior of the compartment.
