A packaging machine includes a series of stations or assemblies, including a carton feeding system and a product conveyor that receives a series of articles or products at a first, upstream or intake end of the packaging machine. The products generally can be grouped into a series of products, such as for forming six-packs, four-packs or other package configurations, and will be wrapped by or loaded into a series of carton blanks, after which the loaded cartons will be moved through a discharge station. The discharge station meters the loaded cartons or packages for discharge from the packaging machine.

A roll guide is disposed in the housing and defines a portion of the dispense passage associated with extraction of material from the dispenser assembly. A restrictor plate is supported by the roll guide and is rotatable and axially translatable relative thereto. The restrictor plate defines a number of dispense openings that can be selectively aligned with the portion of the dispense passage defined by the roll guide such that the characteristics associated with the pull-through dispense activity of the dispenser assembly can be quickly and conveniently configured to achieve a desired dispense action.

An apparatus and associated method are provided for manufacturing a smokeless tobacco product including tobacco material and at least one object. A forming unit is configured to form a continuous supply of a pouch material into a continuous tubular member defining a longitudinal axis. A tobacco insertion unit is configured to introduce tobacco material into a pouch member portion of the tubular member. An object insertion unit is configured to introduce objects into the tubular member, with at least one of the objects being introduced into the pouch member portion. A closing and dividing unit is configured to close and divide the tubular member at intervals along the longitudinal axis thereof, to form the tubular member into a plurality of discrete pouch member portions such that each discrete pouch member portion includes the tobacco material and the at least one of the objects.

An apparatus and associated method are provided for manufacturing a smokeless tobacco product including tobacco material and at least one object. A method for packaging and processing products in a continuously operating production line, including filling individual packaging containers with products in a filling station; dispensing the filled containers to an individualizing device in multiple tracks by a dispensing station, the individualizing device transferring the packaging containers onto a single track of a conveyor; transporting the containers by the conveyor one after another to at least one additional processing station, and operating the individualizing device in one of the following three operating modes: a) a normal mode in which the packaging containers are transferred from the dispensing station onto the single track of the conveyor, b) an on-stock mode in which the packaging containers are transferred from the dispensing station to a temporary store, and c) a low-load mode in which the packaging containers are transferred from the temporary store onto the single track of the conveyor.

The lower insert placer places a lower insert into a box. The syringe placer places a syringe into a syringe compartment of the lower insert. The dosing cup placer places a dosing cup into a dosing cup compartment of the lower insert. The pharmaceutical container placer places a pharmaceutical container into a pharmaceutical container compartment of the lower insert. The upper insert placer places an upper insert into the box after the box has received the lower insert and the lower insert has received the syringe, the dosing cup and the pharmaceutical container.
