Frame for a packaging machine
There is provided a frame for a horizontal flow-pack packaging machine utilizing a center folded or side sealing machine with twin reel or reel feed form below, suitable for packaging a food product or a non-food product with heat sealable or cold weldable plastic film wound on a reel. The frame is provided with two cantilevered supports arranged one above the other in parallel, the lower support supports the operating mechanical components of the packaging machine and the upper support supports the control group and the pneumatic system of the packaging machine.

An apparatus for bundling containers includes a linear conveyor, a guide element, conveying elements, and application elements, each of which applies adhesive to a portion of a container surface, The conveying elements are driven and controllable to travel along the conveyor and to circulate along the guide element. Each conveying element has a container guide that rotates relative to the conveying element. The guide element has a feed strand with central, transition, and end sections that merge into each other. The central section is further from the central axis than the end section. The distance from end section to central axis is such that containers circulating on the end section are brought into contact with adhesive on a surface of an adjacent container.
Apparatus for separating a rigid body from its contents
A high-speed automated separation apparatus comprising a pair of flexible discs, a driver to rotate the flexible discs, a feeder to position a rigid body at a first location between the flexible discs, a spreader and a converger operable upon the flexible discs such that opposing portions of the flexible disc converge upon the positioned rigid body, whereupon the rotating flexible discs rotate the rigid body beyond the first location and content from the rigid body is expelled. The rigid body and the expelled content are then available for reuse.

A combined weighing system 1 includes a first X-ray inspection device 20, a combined weighing device 40, a bag making and packaging device 50, a weight inspection device 60, a second X-ray inspection device 70, and a management device 90 that manages each device. The management device 90 revises a weight conversion table of the first X-ray inspection device 20 and a correction value of the combined weighing device 40 based on an average value of weights of products B, which is calculated from a result of inspection over a certain time period in the weight inspection device 60.
Product packaging system
A product packaging system comprises a plurality of product sources (2, 4, 6) delivering product to a final collating and packaging line (10). The output from each machine is delivered by separate conveying means (8) delivering the products directly into a collating conveyor (20) which in turn delivers the collated products to a packaging line. The collating conveyor comprising an endless conveyor carrying a plurality of compartments, each compartment receiving from said conveying means products to be packaged. The compartments are configured to enable their sizes to be changed, and the endless conveyor comprises a track arranged in a vertical loop and a plurality of product supporting members mounted for movement along the track, each supporting member being driven along the track and controllable independently of the other supporting members.

A method of tracking a box and correlating a quality characteristic of the box to an overall equipment effectiveness of a packaging line that manipulates the box during a product packaging process includes: at a first location, associating a unique identifier with a pre-erected form of the box, capturing at least one quality characteristic of the box, and storing the at least one quality characteristic and the associated unique identifier in a database; moving the pre-erected form of the box to a second location; at the second location, converting the pre-erected form of the box into an erected box, manipulating the erected box through the packaging line, and in an event where the erected box is involved in a disruption in the packaging line correlating the unique identifier of the associated erected box with the associated disruption and saving a record of the disruption and the unique identifier in a storage medium.
Box packing apparatus
A box packing apparatus is equipped with a first conveyor, a parallel link robot, and a flap folding mechanism. The first conveyor conveys an article. The parallel link robot takes hold of the article on the first conveyor and carries it into a cardboard box that has an upper opening. The flap folding mechanism folds open to the outside of the upper opening at least one of plural cover flaps of the cardboard box that are located around the upper opening.
Heating unit for heating package sleeves and apparatus comprising such a heating unit
A heating unit is described and illustrated including at least two heating devices for at least partially heating with hot air end areas of package sleeves to be sealed, wherein the heating unit has an air supply device for supplying air to be heated to the heating devices, wherein the heating devices each have a heating element for producing hot air and a nozzle unit for blowing hot air produced in the heating device against the end area of the package sleeve. In order to be able to increase the leak tightness of the sealed end areas of the package sleeves without having to accept an excessive outlay and effort in terms of the equipment and/or in terms of the method for this, it has been proposed that the heating devices are each separately connected to the air supply device by means of at least one holder and are each separately held on the air supply device by means of the at least one holder.
Food products packaging automatic plant
A food products packaging automatic plant can have at least a first food products packaging conveying line having a plurality of first connection areas. The plant further comprises a plurality of operative units. Each operative unit has a movable base able to move at the connecting areas; a processing device placed on the movable base and connectable to the conveying line at the connection areas; a plurality of sensors; and a wireless communication device. The plant further includes a maintenance station of the operative units; a preparation station of the operative units; and a control and managing central unit. The control and managing central unit commands the operative units so that they move from and towards the first food products packaging conveying line and from and towards the operative units maintenance and preparation stations.
