MICROSCOPY IMAGING DEVICE WITH ADVANCED IMAGING PROPERTIES
Systems, methods and devices are implemented for microscope imaging solutions. One embodiment of the present disclosure is directed toward an epifluorescence microscope. The microscope includes an image capture circuit including an array of optical sensor. An optical arrangement is configured to direct excitation light of less than about 1 mW to a target object in a field of view of that is at least 0.5 mm.sup.2 and to direct epi-fluorescence emission caused by the excitation light to the array of optical sensors. The optical arrangement and array of optical sensors are each sufficiently close to the target object to provide at least 2.5 μm resolution for an image of the field of view.
ORAL APPLIANCE FOR THE TREATMENT OF SLEEP APNEA
An oral appliance for treating sleep apnea in a user includes a mouthpiece configured for being positioned in an oral cavity of the user, and at least one pulse oximeter attached to the mouthpiece. According to an aspect, the pulse oximeter is configured to monitor actual oxygen saturation levels of hemoglobin of the user when the oral appliance is positioned in the oral cavity of the user. The oral appliance may include an additional sensor attached to the mouthpiece that includes at least one of an airflow sensor, a pressure sensor, a noise detector, and an actigraphy sensor.
STATE DETERMINATION SYSTEM
Upon determining a physiological state of a seated person on the basis of measurement results of some of plural sensors, the sensors are easily and properly selected. A system includes sensors that measure measurement values to be changed on a seating surface of a seat, and a determination device. The determination device includes a storage unit that stores association relationships set by associating each area with some of the sensors, an area identification unit that identifies an area in which the coordinates of a gravity center of the seated person are located among the areas, a sensor selection unit that selects the sensors associated with the area identified by the area identification unit from the association relationships stored by the storage unit, and a determination unit that determines a physiological state of the seated person on the basis of the measurement results of the selected sensors are provided.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR OPTIMIZING THERAPY USING STIMULATION MIMICKING NATURAL SEIZURES
Systems, methods, and devices for automatic generation of a stimulation therapy that mimics electrographic activity in the brain at natural seizure termination define a stimulation therapy to be generated by an implanted component of a medical device system and delivered to a subject through identifying data characterizing a patient's seizures, especially at termination. A machine learning model identifies the seizures or seizure types from which to establish a canonical seizure or seizure type, and an algorithm translates the canonical seizure or seizure type into data that can be used to characterize a stimulation therapy. The systems, methods, and devices, include those configured to deliver the stimulation therapy that emulates the canonical seizure or seizure type when the seizure is detected, with the aim of terminating the seizure sooner than it would terminate without intervention.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device is provided by the present disclosure. The electronic device includes a patterned substrate having a plurality of main portions and a plurality of connecting portions, wherein at least one of the plurality of connecting portions connects two adjacent ones of the plurality of main portions, a plurality of biosensors disposed corresponding to the plurality of main portions, a conductive line disposed on the at least one of the plurality of connecting portions and electrically connecting two adjacent ones of the plurality of biosensors, and an insulating layer disposed on the plurality of biosensors and the conductive line.
NON-INVASIVE CARDIAC HEALTH ASSESSMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRAINING A MODEL TO ESTIMATE INTRACARDIAC PRESSURE DATA
The present disclosure relates to cardiac health assessment system for use with a handheld electronic device for assessing cardiac health of a user and a method for assessing cardiac health of a user. The disclosure further relates to systems and methods for training a machine learning model to estimate intracardiac pressure data.
SYSTEM FOR MONITORING HEALTH STATUS
A system for monitoring a health status of a person, includes a mobile terminal configured to display the status and in wireless communication with a first sensor attached to one leg of the person to acquire first information relating to a state of the one leg, and a second sensor attached to a part of a body of the person other than said one leg to acquire second information relating to a state of the part, and a server in communication with the terminal to acquire the first and second information from the sensors. The server is configured to compare the first and second information and determine a blood vessel state of said one leg based on its difference, and transmit to the terminal information indicating the blood vessel state. The mobile terminal is configured to update the status based on the information.
Fat Burning Monitoring
An apparatus and a method of monitoring fat burning in a subject non-invasively by measuring capacitance of the skin is described. In some embodiments, capacitance is measured at one or more skin depths for measuring acetone concentration and/or production as an indicator of fat burning or ketosis.
Measurement system configured to support installation of a ball and socket joint and method therefor
A system is disclosed herein for providing a kinetic assessment and preparation of a prosthetic joint comprising one or more prosthetic components. The system comprises a prosthetic component including sensors and circuitry configured to measure load, position of load on a curved surface, joint stability, range of motion, and impingement. In one embodiment, the system is for a cup and ball joint of a musculoskeletal system. The system further includes a computer having a display configured to graphical display quantitative measurement data to support rapid assimilation of the information. The kinetic assessment measures joint alignment under loading that will be similar to that of a final joint installation. The kinetic assessment can use trial or permanent prosthetic components. Furthermore, adjustments can be made to the applied load magnitude, position of load, and joint alignment by various means to fine-tune an installation.
