A garment includes a securing portion operable to removably secure the garment about an abdomen of a wearer; a sensor attachment portion pivotably attached to the securing portion, the sensor attachment portion including a sensor mount configured to receive and retain a sensor therein; and a sensor received in the flexible sensor mount; the securing portion and the sensor attachment portion being configured such that, when the securing portion is secured around the back of a wearer, the sensor attachment portion pivots with respect to the securing portion so as to self-position the sensor attachment portion across (a) an upper portion of the wearer's abdomen or (b) a lower portion of the wearer's abdomen; the flexible sensor mount being configured to orient a sensor received therein to be flush with skin of the wearer when the garment is worn by the wearer and to self-adjust during the course of pregnancy.

Method of Determining Fused Sensor Measurement and Vehicle Safety System Using the Fused Sensor Measurement

A method of determining a fused sensor measurement is disclosed including: obtaining sensor measurements from sensors detecting a same type of physiological measurement; determining a signal quality index (SQI) of each sensor including determining an extent to which a sensor measurement differs from others among the sensor measurements obtained from each sensor; determining a weightage of each sensor based on the SQI of each sensor; and determining a fused sensor measurement from the plurality of sensors based on the weightage of each sensor and filtered sensor measurements of each sensor obtained from a Kalman filter operation. A vehicle safety system includes: a vehicle electronic control unit configured to: determine the sensor measurement extent, to determine the SQI of each sensor, determine the weightage of each sensor, determine the fused sensor measurement, determine the occupant's physiological condition, and if the physiological condition is abnormal, perform at least one vehicle operation.

PHOTOPLETHYSMOGRAPHIC BLOOD PRESSURE MEASURING DEVICE WITH REMOVABLE FINGER CUFF

The blood pressure measuring device (1) is designed as a photoplethysmographic measuring system which functions according to the “vascular unloading technique”. Metrological components and a pressure generating and pressure control system are accommodated in the base part (3). The fitted cuff part (2) has an ergonomic palm support (4), two finger supports (6) divided from one another by a web (5), and also a receiving part (7) which comprises two receiving tubes (9) for fingers. The cuff part (2) projects beyond the base part (3), both towards the front and also towards the rear, and covers the base part (3) almost completely, i.e. by more than 90%. The lateral attachment of the cable (8) facing in the direction of the forearm has the advantage that the cable can be guided along the patient's arm, the wrist does not rub against the cable (8), and in particular the carpal tunnel is also protected.

A system includes a processor circuit configured to receive a first set of data. The first set of data includes two pressure measurements and a flow measurement from the vasculature of a patient obtained while the sympathetic nervous system of the patient is not under stimulation. The processor circuit calculates a blood flow resistance value based on the first set of data. The processor circuit then receives a second set of data. The second set of data also includes two pressure measurements and a flow measurement from the vasculature of the patient obtained while the sympathetic nervous system of the patient is stimulated. The processor circuit calculates another blood resistance value based on the second set of data. The processor circuit then compares the two blood flow resistance values to determine whether a denervation procedure would be effective to mitigate the nerve system's response to stimulation. The processor circuit outputs to a screen display metrics obtained from the measurement procedure.
