Method for Cutting Wrappings of Textile Fiber Bales
Method for separating straps and wrappings of fiber bales. A special diagonal cutting guide on the sides of the bale is proposed.
Strap-segment-cutting system
The present disclosure relates to a strap-segment-cutting system for locating and removing strap segments from an object, such as a metal coil.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SORTING STRING MATERIAL FROM WASTE
Sorting string material from waste in a cyclic succession including a waste sorting stage and a string removal stage. In the waste sorting stage, a string catcher shaft carrying radially projecting string catching members is rotated, while feeding waste into contact with the rotating string catching members. The string catching members catch string material from the waste, winding-up the string material and allowing a remainder of the waste material to pass by. In the string removal stage, at least the string catching members or the string cutters pass closely, one along the other, the string cutters cutting off string material caught by the string catching members. Then, the string catcher shaft and the string cutting structure are returned into an operating position in which the string cutters are spaced from the string catching members. An apparatus and a rotor body for use therein are also described.
Powered two-stage strap cutter
A powered cutter for strap includes a housing, a power supply mounted to the housing, a motor positioned at least in part in the housing and a drive train operably connected to the motor. A cutting head includes a plunger, a cutting blade operably mounted to the plunger, a hold-down biasedly mounted to the plunger, a foot and a shear edge. The drive train is operably connected to the plunger. The plunger moves toward the foot to move the hold-down into contact with the strap, securing the strap against the foot, and as the hold-down secures the strap, the cutting blade contacts and cuts the strap at the shear edge.
BALE AND MODULE WRAP CUTTING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A bale and module wrap cutting system and method can include a bed with rollers that move a wrapped bale from an entrance, passing two cutting devices, such as circular saws, and then passing the bale over a husking devices that utilizes two or more rotating conveyors having protruding cleats that peel a cut section of the wrap enclosing the bale and discard the cut section below the bed. The bale and module wrap cutting system can be mounted on a trailer to be easily transported. The bale may contain agricultural products such as cotton, hay, or grass.
Cutting Tool and Method
A tool for cutting a tie wrap bound about a wire bundle. The tool includes a body portion having a generally disc-shaped cutter and cutting edge. A shield covers one side of the cutter and defines first and second shield slots in communication with the cutting edge. A housing pivotally connected to the body portion covers the other side of the cutter and defines first and second housing slots that communicate with the cutting edge. The housing pivots between first, second, and third positions. In the first position, the first housing slot communicates with the first shield slot to expose the cutting edge for cutting purposes. In the second position, the first housing slot is out of communication with the first shield slot, thereby covering the cutting edge. And, in the third position, the second housing slot communicates with the second shield slot to expose the cutting edge.
BOX FOLDING SYSTEM
An empty box folding system according to an aspect of the present disclosure that allows easy change in the size of the box folds a box formed from a box sheet having a plurality of interconnected panels, the system comprising: a robot that has a working head that suctions the box sheet and moves the box; and a folding aid member that changes a relative angle of the panels by abutting against the box moved by the robot.
Bundle of tubular and/or rod-shaped glass articles, method for its fabrication as well as for unpacking said bundle
A bundle of tubular and/or rod-shaped glass articles is provided that includes a longest dimension, a plurality of layers (N.sub.L) of the glass articles, and a thread-like element. The longest dimension extends in a first direction. The glass articles in each layer are arranged side by side in a second direction. The plurality of layers are arranged side by side in a third direction. The first, second, and third directions being perpendicular to one another. The thread-like element is around two of the glass articles in at least one layer so that the two glass articles are spaced apart.
Bale opening device
A bale opening device (100) for opening bales wrapped and/or tied with wrapping material comprises a supporting structure (102, 102A) for supporting the bale to be opened, and a gripping mechanism (103) to grip the wrapping material, and again to pull it away from the bale. In addition the device comprises a removing means (101, 101a, 101b) taking and gripping the wrapping material from the gripping mechanism. The removing means is then actuated so to remove the wrapping material from the bale and the gripping means. The removing means (101) and the gripping means (103) are mutually arranged so to enable the gripping mechanism returning back towards the supporting structure essentially at the same when the removing means is actuated to remove said wrapping material.
PORTABLE BALE BINDING REMOVAL APPARATUS AND METHOD
A portable apparatus for removing bindings (e.g. string) from a bale of biomass (e.g. straw), the apparatus includes a body, attachable to a utility vehicle, having an outward facing (e.g. planar) working surface for engaging the bale. A movable cutting arm operates to cut the bindings. Multiple binding grippers each operate to engage a respective one of the bindings to allow removal the bindings from the bale by pulling on the bindings when the apparatus is moved away from the bale.
