Multisensor physiological monitoring systems and methods
An integrated cardio-respiratory system that fuses continuously recorded data from multiple physiological sensor sources to acquire signals representative of acoustic events caused by physiological phenomena occurring in the cardiac and/or arterial structures underneath particular areas of the chest and/or neck to monitor cardiac and respiratory conditions.
Non-Invasive Blood Pressure Monitor
The disclosed subject matter includes a wearable device for blood pressure monitoring. The embodiments employ a set of sensors to calculate a relative external pressure. A transmural pressure error can be calculated based on the relative external pressure. A measured transmural pressure can be corrected based on the transmural pressure error. Some embodiments track altitude to calculate relative external pressure error. Some embodiments track arm orientation to calculate relative external pressure error.
Systems and Methods for the Identification of Medical Conditions, and Determination of Appropriate Therapies, by Passively Detecting Acoustic Signals from Cerebral Vasculature
The present specification describes a system for diagnosing or screening one or more pathologies in a patient. The system includes a headset with at least one microphone or accelerometer to passively receive vibrations generated by the cerebral vasculature of the patient's brain, computing devices coupled with the headset for processing the received vibrations to obtain a unique signal, and a signal analyzer to analyze the signal in order to determine if the data includes patterns uniquely indicative of at least one of tension headaches, migraines, depression, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, autism, cerebral vasospasm and meningitis.
Remote Physiological Monitor
A system comprising a remotely programmable micromonitor with a wireless sensing system-on-module (SOM), one or more sensors to detect one or more conditions in a subject by monitoring one or more parameters associated with the conditions by comparing any monitored parameter to a baseline measurement of the monitored parameter from the subject, a plurality of sensors corresponding to a monitored parameter and connected to the micromonitor to convey measurements of all monitored parameters, the sensors including at least one of a non-optical pulse wave sensor or an electrocardiogram (ECG) sensor, a communications module capable of communicating with a wireless technology, wherein the module can send an alert signal to the subject or an attending physician or a remote service center or any other subject, and one or more algorithms for monitoring conditions and/or for predicting conditions, including at least one of a fall detection or fall prediction algorithm.
Annotation histogram
Systems and methods for facilitating processing of cardiac information based on sensed electrical signals include a processing unit configured to receive a set of electrical signals; receive an indication of a measurement location corresponding to each electrical signal of the set of electrical signals; and generate, based on at least one of an annotation waveform corresponding to each electrical signal of the set of electrical signals and a set of annotation mapping values, an annotation histogram.
Methods and apparatus for self-calibrating non-invasive cuffless blood pressure measurements
In one embodiment of the invention, a non-invasive method of measuring blood pressure is disclosed. The method includes scanning for ECG data with a portable cuffless blood pressure measuring device including, forming an electronic circuit with a first electrode and a second electrode of the portable cuffless blood pressure measuring device by contacting the first electrode with a user's temple and contacting the second electrode with the user's finger holding the portable cuffless blood pressure measuring device; concurrently scanning for PPG data with the cuffless blood pressure measuring device during ECG scanning by placing the PPG sensor to the user's temple; cross-correlating the ECG data and the PPG data to determine a PWTT for the user; receiving one or more physiological data of the user; and using regression analysis to predict systolic blood pressure of the user in response to the PWTT and the one or more physiological data.
RESPIRATORY DISEASE MONITORING WEARABLE APPARATUS
A monitoring and alerting system can be used in any condition with a respiration component. Respiratory symptoms as well as supporting physiological functions are tracked against the user's baseline and alerts the user when there is a worsening trend. The system is self-contained in a wearable that detects and logs the signals, analyzes them and generates alerts. The wearable is untethered during use and may be attached to the body in various manners, such as with adhesives, clothing, clips, belts, chains, necklaces, ear pieces, clothing circuits or the like. Information can further be transmitted both wirelessly and via wire to devices, cloud storage, or the like.
Epidermal sensor system and process
Epidermal electronics are sensors with mechanical properties matching human epidermis. Their manufacturing process includes photolithography and dry and wet etching within cleanroom facilities. The high cost of manpower, materials, photo masks, and facilities greatly hinders the commercialization potential of disposable epidermal electronics. In contrast, an embodiment of the invention includes a low cost, high throughput, bench top “cut-and-paste” method to complete the freeform manufacture of epidermal sensor system (ESS) in minutes. This versatile method works for many types of thin metal and polymeric sheets and is compatible with many tattoo adhesives or medical tapes. The resultant ESS is highly multimaterial and multifunctional and may measure ECG, EMG, skin temperature, skin hydration, as well as respiratory rate. Also, a stretchable planar coil made of serpentine ribbons can be used as a wireless strain gauge and/or a near field communication (NFC) antenna. Other embodiments are described herein.
Multi-element piezo sensor for in-bed physiological measurements
Disclosed herein are monitoring systems and sensors for physiological measurements. The sensors can be multi-element piezo sensors capable of generating multiple electrical signals, whereby the monitoring systems can receive the multiple electrical signals to analyze the user's vital signs along multiple regions of the user's body. In some examples, the piezo sensor can include one or more corrugations, such as peaks and valleys, to create localized regions with increased mechanical response to force. The sensitivity and resolution of the piezo sensor can be enhanced by further locating electrode sections at the corrugations, where the electrode sections can be electrically isolated and independently operable from other electrode sections. Traces electrically connecting an electrode section to, e.g., an off-panel controller can be routed over and/or around other electrode sections by including an insulator to electrically insulate from the other electrode sections, or by using vias to route through one or more layers.
