SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PREVENTION OF PRESSURE ULCERS
20210361225 · 2021-11-25 ·

Systems, devices, and methods of the present application relate to the diagnostic measurement of condition for pressure ulcers. Preferred embodiments utilize pressure measurements at body locations to determine a diagnostic pressure ulcer value. A pressure sensor device generates patient pressure data that is processed by a data processor which utilizes a diagnostic function to determine the diagnostic value that indicates whether corrective action is needed to prevent pressure ulcer formation. One or more sensor devices can be attached to a patient to measure to transmit data for further processing.

Medical monitoring hub

The present disclosure includes a medical monitoring hub as the center of monitoring for a monitored patient. The hub includes configurable medical ports and serial ports for communicating with other medical devices in the patient's proximity. Moreover, the hub communicates with a portable patient monitor. The monitor, when docked with the hub provides display graphics different from when undocked, the display graphics including anatomical information. The hub assembles the often vast amount of electronic medical data, associates it with the monitored patient, and in some embodiments, communicates the data to the patient's medical records.

Position-tracking-enabling connector for an ear-nose-throat (ENT) tool

A medical instrument includes a shaft, one or more position sensors, a connector and interrogation circuitry. The shaft is configured for insertion into a body of a patient. The one or more position sensors are fitted at a distal end of the shaft. The connector is configured to receive a mating connector. The interrogation circuitry is configured to detect whether the mating connector is connected to the connector, and, if not connected, to prevent tracking a position of the distal end in the body using the one or more position sensors.

DETECTING REINSERTION OF A CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE MONITORING SENSOR
20220015670 · 2022-01-20 ·

A continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system is configured to detect a reinserted CGM sensor. The system reads a CGM sensor identifier stored in a CGM sensor unit memory in response to insertion of a CGM sensor into the skin of user. The system compares the identifier to any previously-stored identifiers of previously-inserted CGM sensors. If the identifier does not match a previously-stored identifier, indicating a newly-inserted sensor, the identifier is stored and CGM may begin. If the identifier matches a previously-stored identifier, indicating a reinserted sensor, a usage limit corresponding to the stored identifier of the reinserted sensor is then checked to determine whether it has been met. If it has, CGM is halted. If it has not, CGM may continue with the reinserted CGM sensor. Methods of detecting reinsertion and usage limits of a CGM sensor are also provided, as are other aspects.

MEDICAL FLUID INJECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD WITH DETACHABLE PATCH AND MONITORING

Provided herein are systems and methods for monitoring one or more health or physiological parameters in a subject. The systems and methods may comprise a patch coupled to an injector. Data may be transmitted to a mobile device or remote server, where the data may be processed. Processed data may be used to inform a subject on a health or physiological condition.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SMART DENTAL UNIT

Provided is a system and method for smart dental unit. The system provides smart dental unit restoring one or more teeth, including: a prosthetic base structured and arranged to engage with mouth tissue. The prosthetic base supports at least one tooth and at least one sensor system structured and arranged to detect at least one event. The sensor system further has a processor coupled to a wireless transceiver operable to communicate with at least one remote computing system. The smart dental unit also has a unique identifier. In response to a detected event the processor generates data communicated by the wireless transceiver to the remote computer. The unique identifier is also used by the remote computer to determine the location of the smart dental unit. An associated method for making a smart dental unit and a system for dental based patient care are also disclosed.

Integrated injection system and communication device

An integrated system for injection including an injection device in electronic connection with a communication device is provided. The external communication device may be a handheld electronic device such as a Smartphone or a dedicated reader such as a reader capable of reading information contained on an RFID tag. The injection device includes a needle and a drug delivery portion enclosed within an external housing. Optionally, a plurality of sensors is affixed to the surface of the needle to collect data about the injection and physical characteristics of the patient. The data may be recorded on a data capture module. The electronic chip may be a readable and writable electronic chip such as a non-volatile memory chip. Alternatively, the electronic chip is a passive RFID tag. The injection device may further include a data transmitter for sending information obtained from the data capture module to the external communications device.

Mobile device, sensor, physiological information management method, and computer readable medium storing physiological information processing program

A physiological information management system includes sensors to be attached to patients to acquire physiological information of the patients and a mobile device. The mobile device includes a patient information acquiring section configured to acquire patient IDs identifying the patients, a sensor information acquiring section configured to acquire sensor IDs identifying the sensors, a controller configured to associate the patient IDs and the sensor IDs with each other, a wireless communicating section configured to receive sensor signals corresponding to the physiological information, from the sensors identified by the sensor IDs associated with the patient IDs, and a displaying section configured to display the physiological information based on the sensor signals.
