METHOD AND DEVICE USED FOR THE SEPARATE TREATMENT OF INDIVIDUAL COMPONENTS OF PACKAGING UNITS FORMED BY PRIMARY, SECONDARY AND TERTIARY PACKAGINGS
Disclosed is a treatment device and/or cleaning device (10), with at least three treatment stations and/or cleaning stations (26, 36, 42), as well as a method used for the separate treatment of individual components of packaging units (14) formed in each instance by primary, secondary, and tertiary packagings.
The primary packagings are in each instance gathered together in secondary packagings as groups of two or more individual primary packagings. In addition, at least two such secondary packagings are accommodated in a tertiary packaging.
The device (10) comprises at least one separating station (16, 20, 48) used for the separation of the packaging units (14) into their individual components to be treated, as well as at least three cleaning stations (24, 34, 40) and/or inspection stations used for the separate treatment of the primary, secondary, and tertiary packagings, said cleaning stations (24, 34, 40) and/or inspection stations being arranged downstream of the at least one separating station (16, 20, 48).
The corresponding method provides the separation of the packaging units (14) into their individual components to be treated and the cleaning and/or inspection of at least the primary packagings as well as the cleaning and/or inspection of the secondary packagings performed separately therefrom and/or the cleaning and/or inspection of the tertiary packagings performed separately therefrom.
Package for irregular shaped objects
A carrier and related methods of use are provided for packaging irregular-shaped products. The carrier has a footing and a vertical support member partially enclosing at least one irregular-shaped product. The vertical support member has: (1) a pair of sidewalls facing one another and having lower tabs joined to opposite ends of the footing, and (2) a rear wall with edges along the junctures with the sidewalls and a lower edge along the juncture with the footing. A wrap encloses the irregular-shaped product(s) and the carrier. The method includes uniformly aligning the irregular-shaped product(s) in the carrier and securing the carrier and product(s) by enclosing them with a wrap.
Method and device for packing strip-type objects, especially strips of chewing gum
The invention relates to a method and a device for producing and packing individual strip-type objects, especially strips of chewing gum, comprising the following method steps and features: provision of rectangular sheets from which the strips are to be formed, the length of the shorter sides of the sheets corresponding to the length of a strip to be formed; formation of individual strips from the sheets provided; packing of the formed individual strips using a first packaging material; formation of a group of the individual packed strips; and packing of the formed group of strips using a second packaging material. The step of providing the sheets comprises the following additional method steps and features: creation of grooves in the sheets, said grooves extending parallel to the shorter sides of the sheets; and controlled supply of the individual sheets successively in the longitudinal direction thereof to the following step of forming the individual strips, in such a way that each sheet adjoins the respective previous sheet in a precise position, without gaps and without back pressure. The step of forming the individual strips comprises the following additional method steps and features: respective separation of an individual strip from the sheet on the front end thereof in the direction of transport by tearing along the respectively frontmost produced groove such that the supplied sheet and the separated strip are in the same plane; and acceleration of the separated strip in the direction of transport in order to create a gap between the individual successive strips.
Sleeve packaging
Described herein is a packaging system comprising a sleeve having a plurality of sides, an open top, and an open bottom, each of the sides having an inner surface, an inner liner located on the inner surfaces of the sides of the sleeve, the inner liner having an inner surface that defines a cavity, a plurality of building panels located in the cavity, and an outer wrapping surrounding at least a portion of the sleeve and at least a portion of the plurality of building panels.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LOCAL DIMMING IN MULTI-MODULATION DISPLAYS
Dual and multi-modulator projector display systems and techniques are disclosed. In one embodiment, a projector display system comprises a light source; a controller, a first modulator, receiving light from the light source and rendering a halftone image of said the input image; a blurring optical system that blurs said halftone image with a Point Spread
Function (PSF); and a second modulator receiving the blurred halftone image and rendering a pulse width modulated image which may be projected to form the desired screen image. Systems and techniques for forming a binary halftone image from input image, correcting for misalignment between the first and second modulators and calibrating the projector system—e.g. over time—for continuous image improvement are also disclosed.
STERILE PACKAGING OF K-WIRE AND CAP
A method is provided for sterile packaging of a Kirschner wire (K-wire) and cap for shipping and storage, such that the K-wire and cap may be removed from the sterile packaging and used during a surgery. The method comprises sterile packaging the K-wire into a first container, sterile packaging the cap into a second container, and then bundling the first and second containers into a third container. In some embodiments, the first container may be comprised of a sterile interior environment within a double tube container, and the second container may be comprised of peel pouch configured to be unsealed during the surgery. In some embodiments, the K-wire and the cap may be placed together onto a mounting card that is then sterile packaged into a peel pouch that may be unsealed during the surgery.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PACKAGE CONSTRUCTION
An optimal package structure and an amount of refrigerant to insert into the package structure are determined based upon product information, consumer preference information, and weather information. The optimal package structure and the amount of refrigerant are an optimized combination that is effective to both protect the product from damage and preserve the product from spoilage. A package is constructed to contain the product according to the optimal package structure and the amount of refrigerant is inserted into the structure.
