Systems and methods for collecting cutting samples during oil and gas drilling operations
A system for automated collection of cutting samples produced during the drilling of a well includes an automated valve system for periodically collecting samples including fluid and cuttings from a flow line from a drilling rig and a packaging system for packaging each sample collected from the flow line. The packaging system deposits each sample received from the valve system at a corresponding point along a moving elongated strip of base material, covers the elongated strip of base material and samples deposited on the base material with a strip of cover material, and advances the covered elongated strip of base material and covered samples onto a reel.
Modified Atmosphere Packaging Apparatus and Method With Automated Bag Production
An automatic packaging apparatus is provided, having a conveyor, a continuous longitudinally folded web, cutting and sealing mechanisms for forming flexible pouches from the web. The apparatus also includes processing stations for loading the pouches, transferring fluids (typically gases) into and out of the pouches, and sealing the pouches. Various alternative methods and devices are provided for separating each sealed pouch from the web by either making a continuous cut across a connecting strip of web material downline of the processing stations or pre-perforating the connecting strip upline of the processing stations. When the connecting strip is pre-perforated, a sealed pouch of sufficient weight may be separated from the web passively by a takeaway conveyor, and a lighter sealed pouch may be separated from the web by a tear-off mechanism that grips and pulls the web.
QUICK DROP AND DRINK NUTRITION AND MACHINE FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
The packet for providing nutrients to a person is disclosed. The packet may be inserted into a bottle of water at which time, a film of the packet begins to dissolve and allow the water to seep into the packet. When the water seeps into the packet, the water dissolves the film from the inside out so that the film dissolves from the outside in and inside out to reduce the time required to completely dissolve the film. Moreover, the bottle of water can be closed so that the user can shake the bottle of water and allow the powdered nutrient in the packet to rub against the film and further reduce the time required to completely dissolve the film and also dispersed the powdered nutrient in the water. The powdered nutrient may have a rate of dissolution that is slower than the film so that the powdered nutrient can run and cause friction against the film throughout the entire period of time water bottle was shaken.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FORMING A SEPARATION LINE IN A PACK OF POTS OF FOOD PRODUCT
A cutting tool for a device for forming a precut in a pack of pots of food product, the precut facilitating a separation by breaking apart two pots of food product along a separating line between them, the cutting tool including a cutting portion that extends along a longitudinal axis and is configured to form a precut groove along the separating line. Viewed from the front, the cutting portion includes a convex profile.
Laminated roll of sealed graphite pouches and methods for making the same
Laminated rolls of sealed graphite pouches and methods for making the same are provided. The laminated roll can include a first substrate having a length and a plurality of sealed pouches disposed on the substrate at predetermined intervals along its length. Each sealed pouch can include a graphite sheet having first and second sides, the first side affixed to the substrate, and a second substrate affixed to at least the second side of the graphite sheet and to a portion of the substrate to fully seal the graphite sheet within an enclosed space. In one embodiment, the roll of sealed graphite sheet pouches can be fixed to a roll of another substrate in a roll-to-roll fashion and the combined rolls can be cut into discrete portions for use in a particular application. For example, the roll of the other substrate can be a roll of enhanced spectral reflector (ESR).
MULTI-COMPARTMENT BAG
A method is disclosed for forming a two-compartment bag. The method comprises draping a sheet of bag forming material around a primary fill pipe and one or more secondary fill pipes, forming multiple compartments by sealing the sheet material around the respective fill pipes, filling the various compartments with material, and sealing the bag.
The method comprises forming transverse seals so that a transverse seal area of a secondary compartment at least partially overlaps with a transverse seal area of the first compartment, so that the secondary compartment is fixedly folded against the first compartment.
The method permits the volume of the secondary compartments to be varied independent from the volume of the primary compartment. Each compartment may be opened without opening the other compartments.
In a preferred embodiment the bag is made of a microwave-compatible material, and at least one of the compartments contains a food material intended for reheating or preparation in a microwave oven.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PACKAGING FOOD PRODUCTS
A system for processing food products comprises a cutting apparatus for cutting off slices from the food products and for forming portions from the slices, a packaging machine, and a transport apparatus that transports the portions from the cutting apparatus to the packaging machine. Furthermore, the system comprises a provision device for providing portion supports for the transported portions, and a folding device that is configured to fold a portion support along a bending line. The system further comprises an insertion device by means of which the portion supports with the portions can be brought onto a packaging space such that the bending lines of the portion supports are aligned in parallel with a transport direction of the packaging machine.

The cylindrical outer bag with the fastener is made of a resin film as a base material and has a cylindrical shape having a uniform inner diameter and continuously extending along a cylinder length direction (X), at least one opening portion to be opened along the cylinder length direction (X), and the fastener on an inner wall side of the base material along an edge of the opening portion, and the fastener is engaged.
