METHOD OF HANDLING A PLASTIC CONTAINER HAVING A MOVEABLE BASE

A plastic container comprises an upper portion including a finish defining an opening into the container, a lower portion including a base defining a standing surface, a sidewall extending between the upper portion and the lower portion, the sidewall defining a longitudinal axis, and at least one substantially transversely-oriented pressure panel located in the lower portion. The pressure panel is movable between an outwardly-inclined position and an inwardly-inclined position to compensate for a change of pressure inside the container. The standing surface defines a standing plane, and the entire pressure panel is located between the standing plane and the upper portion of the container when the pressure panel is in the outwardly-inclined position.

METHOD OF HANDLING A PLASTIC CONTAINER HAVING A MOVEABLE BASE

Method for processing hot-filled plastic containers are provided. In some embodiments, the method may include hot-filling a plastic container, sealing the container, and conveying the sealed container, each with an inner annular wall and a push-up portion in a first position. In some embodiments, the method may further include creating a vacuum pressure in the hot-filled and sealed container and repositioning or inverting the push-up portion from the first position to a second position under the vacuum pressure.

A method of shaping and compressing toilet paper rolls using compressor rollers is disclosed. The method is comprised of a workflow that includes fluted rollers, sleeve wrapping and specific packaging procedures. An object of the method is to provide a means to reduce the size of conventional toilet paper rolls in bulk to make shipping more efficient. For example, a box that currently holds twelve rolls now can hold twice as many rolls when utilizing the disclosed method.

Packaging system and manufacturing thereof

A method of packaging a product includes heating a film of plastic material to a forming temperature until it is thermoformable. At least one of the heated film and at least one product to be packaged are moved in relation to each other until the at least one product deforms the heated film and forms at least one pocket in the heated film that at least partially encapsulates the at least one product. The deformed film with the at least one product at least partially encapsulated in the at least one pocket is then cured.

A method of optimizing packaging for shipping a perishable item includes determining a cooling capacity of an insulated package assembly sufficient to maintain a temperature of a perishable item below a threshold temperature throughout shipping. A first volume of a consumable food product is determined such that the insulated package assembly including the perishable item and the first volume of the consumable food product has the determined cooling capacity. The insulated package assembly is assembled by providing an outer container and positioning within the outer container. A cooling pack is positioned within an insulated cavity defined by the insulator. The cooling pack includes the first volume of the consumable food product. A perishable item package is positioned within the insulated cavity proximate the cooling pack. The perishable item package includes the ordered perishable item. The insulated package assembly is shipped to the destination address.
