STORAGE CONTAINER WITH LABEL
A storage container has an interior volume defined by a bottom, two side walls and two end walls, and a packaging label affixed to an outer surface of a wall, the label having a first portion with first pre-printed material, and a second portion with a surface adapted to receiving written marking, including content information marked by a purchaser or user.
LABEL APPLICATION WITH RELEASE LINER DISPOSAL
A printer prints label data on a self-adhesive label that has a tabbed backing to produce a printed label on the tabbed backing. Also, a label feeder is positioned relative to the printer to transport the printed label on the tabbed backing away from the printer. A label applicator is positioned, relative to the feeder, to remove the printed label on the tabbed backing from the feeder. The tabbed backing includes a first section, covering an adhesive area of the printed label, and a tab extending from the first section. The label applicator includes a holder, that is shaped to grasp the tab of the tabbed backing, and a moveable element that is configured to remove the printed label from the tabbed backing and affix the adhesive area of the printed label to an item.
Identification of shrink-wrapped objects
An object can be heat-shrinkable packaged by placing an object inside of heat-shrinkable film, sealing the heat-shrinkable film around the object to form a heat-shrinkable package, coupling a first portion of a label to the heat-shrinkable package, and causing the heat-shrinkable film to shrink into heat-shrunk film and the heat-shrinkable package to form into a heat-shrunk package. The label includes an identifier on a second portion of the label. The label remains coupled to the heat-shrunk film after the heat-shrinkable film is caused to shrink into heat-shrunk film. The second portion of the label remains substantially undeformed after the heat-shrinkable film is caused to shrink into heat-shrunk film.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A LABELLING SYSTEM
The invention relates to a method for operating a labelling system for labelling individual packages, wherein the labelling system comprises a labelling device (1) having functional units and a control assembly (11) which, in a labelling routine, controls the functional units in accordance with a control specification. According to the invention, a user query routine is performed by the control assembly (11), in which user query routine a user is prompted by the user interface (13) to input a state relating to a functional aspect of the labelling system and the state subsequently input by the user is detected by the control assembly (11), and the input state is compared with a predefined state by the control assembly (11) and if the input state deviates from the predefined state a response routine is triggered by the control assembly (11), in which response routine a message regarding the input state is transmitted, by the control assembly (11), to a control system (14) which is external to the labelling system and superordinate to the control assembly (11), and in which response routine the control specification is modified on the basis of the input state.
Labeling machine and method of producing multipacks
A labeling machine for producing respective multipacks, the multipacks comprising a group of products secured together by a label. The labeling machine includes a conveyor that comprises a conveyor module for forming a group of products from a plurality of individual products and for providing the group of products to a labeling process to produce a multipack of products. The labeling machine includes at least one labeler. The conveyor module comprises at least two conveying units which each conveying unit comprising at least one carrier. The movement of the conveying units may be individually controllable allowing two carriers on different conveying units to cooperate as a fixing unit. A method of producing respective multipacks, which each comprise a group of products, using the labeling machine is also provided.

Storage system and article retrieving method
An apparatus is disclosed that provides a storage system designed to allow pickers to easily and efficiently pull products from all portions of the storage system from a single side of the storage system. The storage system includes a first storage rack that has a first plurality of columns and a first platform extending from one of the first plurality of columns. An outer edge of the first platform forms an end of the first storage rack. Positioned adjacent to the first storage rack is a second storage rack with a second plurality of columns and a second platform that extends from one of the second plurality of columns, where an outer edge of the second platform forms an end of the second storage rack. An aisle is formed by a predetermined distance between the outer edges of the first and second platforms.

LABEL PLACEMENT SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a label-placement module having a first feeder assembly, including a horizontal delivery platter for receiving a label, and a first drive wheel, positioned adjacent to a distal end of the horizontal delivery platter and rotatable to move the label on the horizontal delivery platter in a first direction. The label-placement module may include a second feeder assembly coupled to an actuator that moves the second feeder assembly vertically to a delivery position associated with the container. The second feeder assembly having a vertical delivery platter for receiving the label from the horizontal delivery platter and a second drive wheel rotatable to move the label forward in the first direction towards the container such that at least a portion of the label may be clamped between the container and a lid of the container thereby attaching the label to the container.
