Machine and method for carrying out one operation on articles

A machine for carrying out at least one operation onto a first article and a second article is disclosed. The machine comprises feeding means for advancing a succession of the first article and the second article along a path and with a first speed; a first operative group, which comprises a first tool configured for carrying out operation onto the first article and which can be operated with a second speed associated to the first speed; gap creating means selectively controllable to create a first gap, which is arranged inside succession and is bounded between the first article and the second article; and a second operative group, which comprises a second tool configured for carrying out operation onto the second article and which can be operated at the second speed.

Heat Shrink Packaging System and Method
20180305059 · 2018-10-25 ·

A packaging system including a heat shrinkable flexible wall container and a heat shrinkable label is described. The label can be applied to the container prior to heat shrinking. Upon subjecting the labeled container containing the items or goods of interest to a heat shrink operation, the label and flexible wall container both undergo shrinking. The shrinkage characteristics of the flexible wall container and the label are matched to one another. Also described are various methods of packaging using the noted systems.

Three-Dimensional Article Having Transfer Material Thereon

Three-dimensional articles having a transfer material thereon are disclosed. The articles have a surface having two or more portions that each have a radius of curvature that are at least partially separated by an intermediate portion that has a lesser radius of curvature. The transfer material may be pre-formed and transferred to the surface of the articles and may extend continuously across at least parts of the two portions and the intermediate portion. In some cases, the two or more portions and the intermediate portion are all located on the same portion or face of the article and the intermediate portion is a feature on the surface of the article. In other cases, the two or more portions are located on different portions or faces of the article, and the intermediate portion is an edge between the two or more portions.

Method and container treatment machine for equipping containers with equipment characteristics
10035619 · 2018-07-31 · ·

A container treatment machine has treatment positions provided on a circumferential transport element rotating about a vertical machine axis. Each has a container carrier, a centering element, an aggregate, a control valve, and an actuation element. The treatment position clamps empty containers with a clamping force between the carrier and the cone. The actuation element generates the container clamping force. The control valve controls flow through the channel. Containers lying in a sealed position against the centering cone are loaded with pressure medium that travels through the channel to generate a container-stabilizing internal pressure. The control valve, which is in the centering element, causes container pre-tensioning by being opened by a container clamping force that acts between the centering cone and the container to pretension the container.
