Method of robot assisted automated decal application on complex three dimensional surfaces

The present Invention discloses two robot assisted automated methods for application of decals on complex 3 dimensional surfaces without wrinkle and bubble. The method includes loading of objects having 3D surfaces on an object holding fixture manually from a conveyor belt, picking up a first application fixture automatically by a robot, peeling off the liner disposed on the decal manually and placing the decal on the first application fixture which holds the decal by suction, positioning the decal with exposed adhesive accurately on a first 3D surface of the object and switching off the suction automatically leaving the decal placed on the 3D surface of the object, placing the first application fixture back and picking up a second application fixture automatically by the robot for squeegee application, applying the second application fixture to complete the squeegee application by pressurizing the decal. The first application fixture is configured to be programmed to hold decals of different shape and size and the second application fixture is configured to be programmed to identify the 3D direction of squeezing pad motion within each region of such decals to eliminate the bubbles without wrinkling. The second method uses a mechatronic pick and place mechanism for picking up a decal from the decal stack and placing of the decal on the 3D surface of the object automatically.

LABEL APPLICATOR FOR SYRINGE LABELING

A label applicator for application of labels to the body of a syringe. The label applicator may be moved into position relative to a predetermined axis along which syringes of different respective sized may be disposed. In this regard, the label applicator may be operative to apply a label to an array of syringes of different sizes. Moreover, the label applicator may print label information onto the label regarding each individual syringe prior to application of a label to the syringe. This may allow for custom label application to each labeled syringe.

A manufacturing method of a labeled article includes a preparing step of preparing a label bulk roll formed by winding up a continuous label body being linerless into a roll shape, a feeding step of feeding the continuous label body from the label bulk roll, a cutting step of cutting the continuous label body into individual units of labels, an activating step of activating an adhesive layer of the label, a conveying step of conveying an activated label that is the label including the adhesive layer in an activated state from an activation position where the adhesive layer is activated to a separated position separated from the activation position, and an affixing step of affixing the activated label to an article at the separated position.

Sleeve applicator machine and related method of operation

A sleeve applicator machine is used to remove and open a sleeve from a carrier for application of the sleeve around an elongated object such as a wire. A mandrel is inserted into an opening of an unopened sleeve while the sleeve is still supported by the carrier. Once the mandrel is inserted into the sleeve, the mandrel is lifted to separate the unopened sleeve from the carrier. While still on the mandrel, the sleeve (which is now in a semi-opened state) is positioned between a separable pair of sleeve-opening dies in which the dies are in an opened position. The dies are closed or brought together around the sleeve and mandrel to compress the sleeve to a fully open state. At this point and with the dies holding the sleeve open, the mandrel may be withdrawn from the sleeve and a wire or other elongated object inserted into the opening of the sleeve.

LABEL ALIGNER FOR CYLINDRICAL PRODUCTS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO BOTTLES, JARS AND CUPS

An adjustable belt and loop system provides a use to consistently align and attach labels and at correct heights onto cylindrical products. This belt and loop are flexible with a narrow end attached to its opposite end using a loop from one or more cut slits. The diameter of the belt and loop are adjustable by the user using two tabs. This adjustable diameter formed by the belt and loop must be tightened and secured onto the outside of cylindrical products with varying diameters. This belt and loop contain a cut-out or groove and graphics to indicate where the user should align and attach their labels onto the cylindrical product to have their labels attach straight and at a correct height. Combination of belts and loops can define various geometries to position different types of labels and to different bottles or other cylindrical products.
