Rotatable drum and method and system using the same for the automated production of E-vapor devices

A rotating drum for use in manufacturing vapor-generating articles may include a drum body. A plurality of grooves may be disposed in an outer face of the drum body. A seat may be tractably-mounted in each one of the plurality of grooves. The seat may include a seat groove that is structured and arranged to receive and hold a rigid casing of a vapor-generating article. The seat may be composed of a material that is softer than a material of the rigid casing.

Labelling unit, device and method for labelling containers

A labeling unit for applying labels to containers includes a label removing device, a vacuum drum, and a gluing device. The vacuum drum receives labels at a first transfer position and delivers them to a second transfer position. The gluing device is arranged within an angular region of rotary motion of the vacuum drum between the first and second transfer positions. The vacuum drum moves labels past the gluing device. The label removal device removes either labels or label residues that remain on the vacuum drum in the angular region.

Subject matter described in this disclosure relates to a label applicator for varied surfaces. In some instances, the label applicator may include one or more elements that may adjust to individual package properties and may adjust from one package to the next. For example, in one aspect the label applicator may include a label-retaining surface that is nonlinear. In other examples, the label applicator may include a force attenuator that dampens compressive forces between the label applicator and the package. In a further example, the label applicator may include an articulating joint that permits pivotable adjustment when a label applicator contacts a package. In yet another example, the label applicator may include a magnetic coupling attaching the label applicator to an actuator to provide a breakaway and reattachment mechanism.

Retractable scrollable labels for applying to an object

An auxiliary label device for attaching to an object, such as a container having a side wall, includes a label enclosure that includes a longitudinal slot therethrough, a bottom side, and a top side. A rotatable spool fixed within the label enclosure is fixed with a first end of a label that traverses the slot of the label enclosure. A spring connected between the label enclosure and the spool urges the spool to wind the label around the spool in a coiled configuration. A second opposing end of the label is attached to the container, and with the spool and label under tension of the spring to urge the label around the spool, the label enclosure is urged to contact the container. The label thereafter is unwound from the spool in an extended configuration for viewing when the label enclosure is manually grasped and pulled away from the container.
