ADHESIVE TAPE CARTRIDGE, ADHESIVE TAPE ROLL, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING AN ADHESIVE TAPE ROLL
20190218424 · 2019-07-18 ·

The disclosure discloses an adhesive tape cartridge including an adhesive tape roll. The adhesive tape roll winds an adhesive tape around a predetermined axis in a housing. The adhesive tape includes a base layer, and a first particle-containing adhesive layer. The first particle-containing adhesive layer is disposed on first side of the base layer in a thickness direction and comprises an adhesive to which particles having an average particle diameter of 10 m or more are added. On condition that the first particle-containing adhesive layer is virtually divided into two equal parts as a first region on the first side in the thickness direction and an second region on an second side in the thickness direction, a volume proportion of the particles to the adhesive in the second region is larger than a volume proportion of the particles to the adhesive in the first region.

A platen unit of a printer configured to perform printing while nipping and feeding a linerless label using a thermal head and a platen roller, the platen unit includes the platen roller, a downstream-side wraparound prevention member disposed on a downstream side of a feeding direction of the linerless label with respect to the platen roller, the downstream-side wraparound prevention member being configured to prevent the linerless label from rolling up to the platen roller, and an upstream-side wraparound prevention member disposed on an upstream side of the feeding direction of the linerless label with respect to the platen roller, the upstream-side wraparound prevention member being configured to prevent the linerless label from rolling up to the platen roller, wherein the upstream-side wraparound prevention member and the downstream-side wraparound prevention member are rotatably assembled to a roller shaft of the platen roller independently from each other.

Medium including heat-sensitive medium provided with base material having uneven shape, and adhesive medium bonded to heat-sensitive medium

A medium includes: a heat-sensitive medium subjected to thermal printing; and an adhesive medium to be superimposed on the heat-sensitive medium in a thickness direction and bonded to the heat-sensitive medium. The heat-sensitive medium includes: a surface contacting the adhesive medium; a heat-sensitive medium base material having a transparency; and a first color producing layer having a transparency. The heat-sensitive medium base material has an uneven shape having roughness greater than that of the surface of the heat-sensitive medium. The first color producing layer is configured to produce a first color when heated to a temperature higher than or equal to a first temperature. The adhesive medium includes: an adhesive medium base material; and an adhesive layer provided on the adhesive medium base material. The adhesive layer makes contact with the surface of the heat-sensitive medium so that the adhesive medium is bonded to the heat-sensitive medium.

MULTI-LAYER LABEL ASSEMBLY APPARATUS
20190143724 · 2019-05-16 ·

A multi-layer label assembly apparatus. A label printing apparatus, a label dispensing mechanism, and a receptacle affixed to the label printing apparatus in a position adjacent the label dispensing mechanism are provided.

TAPE AND TAPE CASSETTE

A tape having a strip shape extending in a lengthwise direction and a widthwise direction includes: a subject surface located on the tape and exposed in a thickness direction; a first marker provided on the subject surface and being greater than the subject surface in reflectivity to light with a particular wavelength; and a second marker provided on the subject surface and being less than the subject surface in the reflectivity. At least a portion of the first marker and at least a portion of the second marker are identical to each other in position in the widthwise direction. At least a portion of one of the first marker and the second marker and at least a portion of another of the first marker and the second marker are different from each other in position in the lengthwise direction.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ACCURATE DETECTION OF FEBRILE CONDITIONS WITH VARYING BASELINE TEMPERATURES
20240240996 · 2024-07-18 ·

The present invention is directed to systems and process for detecting a febrile condition in screening of multiple or large groups of persons for the likelihood of infectious diseases. The system comprises a temperature measurement device having at least a processor, a display, temperature sensor, camera module, and facial recognition software. The display may include a positional overlay. The system further includes a database containing baseline temperatures for a number of persons, including baseline temperatures by age group and by gender. An input device optionally may identify the specific person or provide survey questions to a person to further determine a febrile condition. Based on the baseline temperatures, measured temperature and other characteristics of the person, a febrile condition may be determined. Additionally, the system may include a secondary screening component providing nasal swabbing or saliva testing.

Quick stencil kit

A kit for creating stencils is provided, including a polymeric shell, multiple linear polymeric frames, multiple thermoplastic rubber polymeric alphanumeric stencil elements, a rolling ball marker, and a roll of markable web. The polymeric shell has a tray and a hingedly joined sealing top. The tray is generally rectangular with a peripheral sidewall and has a storage compartment each for the web roll, the stencil elements, the frames, and the marker. The sidewall adjacent the web roll compartment has an opening therethrough. The frames have an elongate central planar portion and a pair of parallel upraised crenellated sidewalls with stencil retention elements defined in the crenels. The frames also have mateable elements defined at each end to join the frames together. The stencil elements fit between the frame sidewalls and have elongate projections with stencil retention elements adapted to mate with the stencil retention elements defined in the frame crenels.

Printer and operation mode setting method for printer
10220641 · 2019-03-05 · ·

A printer comprises a linerless label operation mode and a linered label operation mode as operation modes. When a cutter unit is coupled to a coupling portion, a control unit of the printer detects the operation mode of the printer based on whether the cutter unit is a cutter unit configured to cut the linerless label or a cutter unit configured to cut the linered label, and sets the operation mode of the printer to a linerless label operation mode or a linered label operation mode.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CUSTOM LABELING OF PRODUCTS
20190016495 · 2019-01-17 ·

A method of custom labeling products in which users specify, via a purchasing interface, product label images in correspondence with products. A label group is generated for each of the users. The label group includes an indicator label image providing a purchase identifier and product identifiers, and the product label images arranged in a sequence specified by the product identifiers. The label groups are printed to produce printed label groups. The printed label groups are transferred to a labeling machine. A conveyor system is controlled to release, for each of the printed label groups, the sequence of the products specified by the product identifiers. Printed product labels of each of the printed label groups are applied to the corresponding sequence of the products.
