PAPER-BASED COMPOSITE CONTAINER FOR OFF-GASSING PRODUCTS, AND METHOD FOR MAKING SAME
20210101712 · 2021-04-08 ·

A paper-based composite container for an off-gassing product includes a paperboard can body having a substantially gas-impervious liner attached to an inner surface thereof, and a pair of substantially paper-based end closures attached to the opposite ends of the can body, each end closure defining a generally cylindrical sealing panel in contact with an inner surface of the can body. Heat-sealable materials are disposed on opposing surfaces of the sealing panel and can body. The sealing panels of the end closures are attached to the can body by heat seals. The heat seal for at least one of the end closures is discontinuous such that at least one vent channel extends through the heat seal to establish fluid communication between an interior of the container and the environment outside the container. The at least one vent channel is operable to vent excess gas pressure from the interior of the container.

CONTAINER WITH REMOVABLE END

The invention comprises a container comprising: a base; at least one paper-based sidewall seamed to and extending upwardly from the base, wherein the at least one sidewall comprises a score line near the base that is at least partially circumferential and is configured to be torn through to remove the base from the sidewall; and a liner ply adhered to an interior surface of the sidewall.

CONTAINER CONSTRUCTION WITH FLEXIBLE LINER AND ONE-WAY VALVE

In an embodiment, the invention comprises a container comprising: a base; at least one sidewall extending upwardly from the base and terminating in a top edge, wherein the at least one sidewall is paper-based; a removable flexible membrane adhered to the top edge, wherein the membrane comprises a one-way valve; a liner ply at least partially adhered to an interior surface of the sidewall, wherein the liner ply is configured to at least partially release from the sidewall upon a pressure differential between the pressure within the container and the external pressure.

Wound package construct

A wound package construct includes a first wound strip of package material that establishes an inner liner layer, a second wound strip of material that establishes an intermediate bodystock layer, and a third wound strip of material or cover strip that covers a seam formed by the wound bodystock layer but that does not cover all of the outer surface area of the wound bodystock layer. Therefore, the width of the cover strip is less than the width of the bodystock strip. As a result, the cover strip is not wide enough to cover the entire outer surface of the wound bodystock layer such that, after the cover strip is wrapped to cover the spiral bodystock seam, areas of the bodystock layer remain exposed between the two opposed length-wise edges of the cover strip.

Plastic Element for Packaging and Packaging Having Such a Plastic Element

Shown and described is a plastic element for a package, comprising: a main body of plastic, and a flange for fastening a composite material of a package, wherein the plastic element is produced from a thermoplastic material. In order in the case of single-use packages to create a low-cost possible way of obtaining information about the state of content of the packages, it is proposed to arrange an electrical, in particular electronic element on the plastic element or integrate it in the plastic element. Also shown and described is a package with such a plastic element.

The present application also provides a disposable cup formed from the blank, and a method for preparing a disposable cup.

Double-Layer Container

A double-layer container comprises an inner container made of plastic and having a bottom, and a cylindrical outer layer made of paper. The outer layer is sleeved outside the inner container, a locking structure is provided between the outer layer and the inner container to snap the outer layer on an outer peripheral surface of the inner container, and the outer layer is provided with a tear tab capable of tearing and destroying the outer layer. The double-layer container reinforces the strength of the inner container and the outer layer in a radial direction through an annular groove and an annular protrusion respectively, so that the overall strength is high, and quick recycle is realized through the tear tab provided on the outer layer.

RECYCLABLE COMPOSITE CONTAINER
20200130886 · 2020-04-30 ·

A composite container having a paperboard hollow body with top and bottom open ends. The body is formed by a sidewall with inner and outer surfaces. The composite container includes a body liner extending peripherally about the inner surface of the body and a base connectable to the bottom open end of the hollow body. The base includes a sidewall sized and shaped to fit snugly within the bottom open end of the body. The sidewall is permanently coupled to a bottom portion of the liner. The composite container also includes a collar connectable to the top open end of the hollow body. The collar has a peripheral portion that abuts the top open end and an inner circumferential flange sized and shaped to fit snugly within the top open end of the body. The inner circumferential flange is permanently coupled to a top portion of the liner. The peripheral portion has regions of weakened strength so that the section of the peripheral portion that abuts the top open end can be removed, thereby allowing a user to rapidly remove the coupled collar, liner and base from the hollow body.
