Agricultural drill/planter/coulter/disc blade with step plane notch edge
A ground engaging agricultural blade, coulter, or disc having a central opening adapted to be attached to an implement for rotation about a substantially horizontal axis of rotation; the coulter or disc have an outer periphery; and plurality of step plane notches disposed in the outer periphery. The blade can be used with a hub disposed around the central opening or a spacer spool on a shaft extending through the central openings of adjacent blades, the spacer spools extending radially outwardly by a distance.
Strip freshener
A strip freshener row implement lightly tills a strip of ground before planting. The implement has two pairs of freely rotating spike wheels that break up clods of dirt and break the top surface of the soil.
Tillage implement with preset disk frame angle
An agricultural tillage implement including a carriage frame assembly and pull hitch towed by a tractor and forward and aft secondary frames supported by the carriage frame assembly. The forward and aft secondary frames mount gangs of disk blades for tilling the soil. The secondary frames establish a plane and the aft secondary frame is connected to the carriage frame assembly at a greater distance from the plane than the forward secondary frame so that the depth of penetration of the disk blades is uniform during field operation. The tillage implement has outboard wing sections pivotally connected to the secondary frames and annular shims are provided to establish the wing sections and secondary frames in common plane during field operation, the annular shim being rotatable about central axis to present a common surface to the implements irrespective of the orientation of the shims.
ROBOTIC PLATFORM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING PERPENDICULAR TO CROP ROWS ON AGRICULTURAL FIELDS
A multi-lobed wheel adapted to be mounted to an agricultural platform for traversal of an agricultural field generally traverse to adjacent rows of planted crops without crushing the individual plants. The multi-lobed wheel having a wheel hub including a central axis on which the multi-lobed wheel is configured to rotate and a plurality of spaced apart lobes defining an outer perimeter configured to make ground engaging contact with the agricultural field, the outer perimeter including structure presenting a plurality of gaps between the plurality of spaced apart lobes, the gaps shaped and sized to provide sufficient clearance for individual plants within a planted crop row so as to enable the multi-lobed wheel to pass over a planted crop row without crushing the individual plants therein.
TILLAGE IMPLEMENT HAVING A MECHANISM FOR ADJUSTING DISC BLADE ANGLE
A gang assembly of a tillage implement has disc blades suspended from a support bar with a disc hanger assembly. A disc adjustment mechanism is configured to pivotably attach the disc hanger assembly for each of the plurality of disc blades to the support bar. The disc adjustment mechanism includes a pivot mount for each of the plurality of disc blades. Each pivot mount has a pivot configured to pivot the pivot mount, a first arm connected to the disc hanger assembly, and a crank arm. A shuttle is attached to the crank arms and causes each pivot mount to pivot and adjust the disc angle of the associated disc blade. The disc hanger assembly is configured to position the disc blade such that a vertical center line of the disc blade extends through the pivot point of the pivot.
SOIL-WORKING DEVICE HAVING AN OVERLOAD PROTECTION MEANS
The invention relates to a soil-working device having an overload protection means, in the case of which overload protection means rebound energy is reduced after the soil-working device returns from an overload position to the working position.
IMPLEMENT TOOL ANGLE CONTROL SYSTEM
An agricultural implement includes a plurality of ground-engaging tools configured to modify a surface configuration of an agricultural field and a hydraulically-controlled subsystem configured to modify an operating angle of the plurality of ground-engaging tools. The agricultural implement also includes a sensor coupled to the hydraulically-controlled subsystem configured to generate sensor signals indicative of a current operating angle of the plurality of ground-engaging tools. The agricultural implement also includes an implement control system configured to receive the sensor signals from the sensor to determine the current operating angle of the plurality of ground-engaging tools, and, upon determining the current operating angle is to be changed to a new operating angle, generate control signals for the hydraulically-controlled subsystem to modify the operating angle of the plurality of ground-engaging tools from the current operating angle to the new operating angle.
Agricultural ground engaging chain
A link assembly (3) for an agricultural ground engaging chain (1) including a plurality of said link assemblies (3), the link assembly including: a first component (7) having a first clamping portion (21) and a first link portion (13) for linking with a link portion of an adjacent link assembly; a second component (9) having a second clamping portion (27) and a second link portion (15) for linking with a link portion of an adjacent link assembly; a resilient harrow member (5), wherein the resilient harrow member (5) is elastically deformable; and at least one fastening element (11). When the link assembly (3) is assembled, the resilient harrow member (5) is clamped between the first clamping portion (21) and the second clamping portion (27) under an applied pressure, elastically deforming to enable engagement of the at least one fastening element, whereby upon release of the applied pressure, the resultant elastic stress in the harrow member (5) urges the first (7) and second (9) components to bear against the fastening element (11) to retain the components of the link assembly (3) together.
